We loved the crisp buffet and the staff were amazing :) Good booze too, lovely spirit range, but don't get your hopes up for real ales

Our first time in Hull, we are from Southampton. We arrive Friday early evening and didn’t want the run of the mill eating establishments, we wanted something different. This place ticked all the boxes. Friendly, welcoming, great atmosphere if not a little loud at times, but that’s a sports bar for you. The food was lovely, delicious and the portions were amazing! Really great attentive staff, we highly recommend this place. The boneless buffalo wings were amazing and the burgers were soo good.

Went here for the chicken nugget party which was fun, got us talking to random people as we were all sat on the same table and they did good nuggets and fries ... Wasn't a fan of the sauces but I think that was just me.

Went in to watch the world cup final, was presented with a table which was covered in great goodies, for example we got some novelty glasses, an England wig.
Service was excellent, considering how full the place was, we didn't wait long for a drink at all, 100% suggest you visit this pub.
Also, I donated a replica world cup trophy to the pub, the owner was so appreciative that he bought as a bacon butty each and a drink each! Fantastic gesture!

An amazing place with a good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Plenty of screens for the sports and the food is decent portions at a resonable price that tastes great

I visit this a couple of times a month with my partner, we enjoy the simple but tempting menu, popular mix of burgers, wings, hotdogs etc typical American diner really. Well costed food and drink for 2 20 quid, service is great but 5* would be awarded if tables were cleared quicker, staff helpful and a mix of sport, music seems to work well. Will keep on visiting but a chillidog would be welcome on the menu.

Went in with my wife on Saturday afternoon, wasn't many in !
had no draught cider or bottles, no draught original Budweiser or Coors lite , had there own lager beer which they let me sample it was quite nice.
Bit pricey for new town compared to nearby bars like masters and moderation , cheese .but enjoyed the drink menu looks nice though gonna come back and try the wings

A very popular bar and grill. Wide choice of beer and lagers sadly no cask conditioned Real ale. The food is very popular, especially recommend the burgers.

The opening of any Burger joint in Hull always faces an uphill battle but Kicks Bar & Grill has made a good start
The standard of independent Burger restaurants & takeaways in Hull are some of the best, if not the best, in the country. Gadgie Burger, Anti Sauté Sauté Club at the White Hart, Beast Burger, Thieving Harry’s, Burgerology and the winner of the best burger in the UK, the brilliant Dope Burger set a very high standard in Hull and you have to do something special to compete. Kicks Bar & Grill gives it a good go but there is room for improvement.
Ordering the Kicks Calling Burger for £13.95 for my wife and I and a kids Kicks Burger for my son, we were greeted with a hearty and plentiful basket of food, especially the excellent kids meal. A very large amount of skin-on fries with the burgers placed on top. The Calling burgers came with two pieces of gorgeous fried chicken pieces on top (instead of the advertised Cheeseburger Spring rolls, which they had run out of). Inside you had usual lettuce, onions and gherkin, along with American Cheese, streaky bacon and house burger sauce, all under a fantastic bun. What let it down however were the two burgers. They were over cooked, with almost all of the juices gone, taking away a lot of the flavour you’d expect from two prime beef patties. Whether this was just a bad day for the chef or the quality of the burgers themselves, it took something away from what was a very well presented burger and fries.
The service was good and maybe I should have mentioned this to the waitress but they were busy getting ready for the weekly Quiz Night.
Kicks Bar & Grill has made a good start and is a welcome addition to the “New Town” area of Hull City centre. With a little work on the tenderness and juiciness of the burger, this will be another place for burger lovers to seek out.
