We found this chip shop whilst on holiday - and treated ourselves to a large portion of fish & chips - OMG! When they have to tape the box shut because it's so full,you know you're onto a winner!
When we got back to our accommodation, and opened the boxes, we were amazed to see just how full they were! The fish was lovely and flaky and tasty and the chips were amazing - really lovely tasting, and really homely. The lemon wedge with the fish was a great addition. The portion size was so huge that it took us two sittings to eat them all!
We visited again before we came home and just got a standard portion this time - which was still really generous - you won't go hungry!
We're just disappointed that we don't live closer - otherwise we'd definitely be going back a lot more frequently...!
This was the best piece of fish I have ever tasted, melts in the mouth, cooked to perfection and beautifully white. If I am ever on holiday in the area, I would come here again and would recommend anybody to do the same. The quality of the food here is second to none.
Lovely, friendly staff. Epic fish and chips. We visited for our last dinner out, of our holiday. Friendly young girl greeted us and showed us to our table. Drinks came quickly after ordering. The dinners didn't take long to come after ordering. The fish was the freshest and tastiest I have eaten in a long time. The chip portion could have been slightly bigger but the curry sauce was delicious. I was disappointed not to have home-made tartare sauce on offer, as the Heniz sachet was not good, but the yummy dinner made up for that. When we asked for the bill a lovely older lady asked how our food was. She gave my two children a small packet of sweets and a glow stick bracelet, which was so kind. If we didn't live three hours away, we'd be visiting again really soon. Absolutely loved the place! 🐟

My girlfriend and I came here before watching Ed Byrne at Launceston town hall. We didn’t reserve a seat but were still able to eat in, which I was really pleased about (I was prepared and happy to take away).
Staff were really friendly and the service was excellent, really attentive.
I ordered a medium cod and chips with a can of Dr Pepper, my girlfriend had “the fryers special” (medium cod and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea). I was jealous of hers as it was amazing value really.
The chips were really nice and the cod was really hot when it came to us so was obviously freshly cooked. I was a little disappointed by the size of the cod - it was a bit long and thin, but that’s not entirely the shop’s fault I guess as they all come in different sizes and shapes. Overall a nice experience and I’d definitely go there again.

Great gluten free fish and chips. Cooked quickly. Large cod was huge. Ceoliac Son very happy. Other Son loved the cheese burger. Not often we can all eat from one place. Will definitely be visiting here again before we leave.
Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Lots choice in addition to the traditional fish and chips. Fish is great quality and light batter, can also choose to have fish in breadcrumbs if preferred. Choice of hot and cold drinks, also licensed. Service was quick and friendly, would recommend. A great cafe with reasonably priced food and helpful , friendly staff whether or not you wish to eat sitting down or using the take away facility
Portion size was good. Fish was fresh, well cooked and plentiful. Chips were fine but not quite enough for 5 stars. Also calling out an order to collect down the corridor not ideal, maybe use an order number. Most people have fish and chips so it got a bit confusing.
