The Lakes Bar & Kitchen

Amazing experience. Helped by perfect weather. Where do I start... Staff as soon as you drive in are so warm and welcoming. The grounds are truly breathtaking and the amount of facilities available I wish I stayed for longer. I stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect!! Would I come back absolutely!!! Sarah Colbourne & James Hall were so kind and attentive and the all round staff were brilliant. I wish I could name them all..

Lovely place, great food and friendly staff. Only thing I would say about the food, the Eton Mess was described as a mixed berry Eton Mess but it only had strawberries in it.

A beautiful and tranquil 5 Bedroom location, uniquely set against the back drop of lakes and forestry within the Cotswold area. Definitely the place to go, to get away from the busy pace of London or one of the many UK City Centre type locations. Very Suitable for families or larger groups, the property was cleverly designed and eye catching, first impression was quite breath taking when entering the location and following the paths and bridges to where it's situated, the property itself arranged with unique and streamlined decor. Clean and crisp environment to lounge, cosy seating areas, with open plan kitchen and dining area, breakfast bar and stalls. Plenty of kitchen wares, cupboards stick with necessary items and accessories, pantry cupboards and the list goes on. Each room benefited from the beautiful views of the Lakes, nice clean and well set up to spend your stay, 5 bathrooms comprising of walk in showers or bath or both dependant on where, fresh clean towels, with complimentary toiletries, as you would find at a Hotel setting. WiFi within the property was accessible but limited, but who's complaining here, especially if you want to get away from the norm and have some serious downtime from laptop, mobile phones and gadgets. This is the place to be by far. Within the compound where The White Willow Lodge was set within a short but leisurely stroll was Elsa's where we dined for breakfast, yummy! The Spa facilities were set within the compound too, staff were welcoming and facilities highly suitable and treatments brilliant!
We also spent some time having a group tennis coaching lesson within the tennis court grounds which was energy filled and instructor Dave really made our learning cool and fun! I Highly recommend Lakes by Yoo and White Willow Lodge for personal, couples, family or group retreats, family reunions, just somewhere to get away and once you've closed the door leave the rest of the world outside for a few days or more whilst you relax, enjoy your stay, can't wait to return ☺️

Great place for a peaceful break. Lots of activities for adults and kids alike but it's not Butlins so don't expect a fairground and chain restaurants. The houses are well equipped with magnificent kitchens where you can cook from scratch if the mood takes you or reheat your ready meals. The pool and health suite is comprehensive and classy and there is sailing nearby. Our lodge had a couple of kayaks and lifejackets to allow exploration of the lake. There is a supervised zipwire on site and a chicken run where you can help yourself to eggs (first come first served), fairly decent tennis courts are also available. The nearby town of Lechlade has a number of pubs and shops including a delicatessen/grocers and a Co-op, various tea shops, a very interesting antique curio shop and the open all year Christmas shop.
