Absolute pub nirvana. If you want and appreciate a traditional pub, it won't get better than this. Comfortable, a good range of drinks (real ale and whisky in particular), fantastic service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether a Liverpool local or a day tripper, a must-visit.

A friendly traditional little pub that's both clean, well maintained and cosy all at the same time. Always a great beer selection gets busy as it's compact and popular. A pint of landlord and a pie makes it pub heaven.

Lovely pub, interesting selection of cask ales (how can you turn down one called "Screamy Goats"??? 🐐). Named after a prominent local abolitionist. Very cozy and friendly. 🤩 Can imagine it will would be a perfect stop on a winter's day! 🍺

Only a few minutes walk from The Grapes, this locals pub is a great place to mingle & learn for yourself how friendly the residents of the city really are! When visiting any town or city I prefer to seek out the real old locals pubs to really experience the heart, culture & history of the place.

Roscoe Head is a tiny gem of a pub thankfully saved from gentrification and destruction. It's has a main bar area and three small snugs, so space is at a premium. At peak times, it's often standing room only. When the weather is nice they have tables and chairs outside in the road. Serves a good selection of ales which are well cared for. Has a locally made pies for sale as well but a limited number. Kids are allowed in before 6pm. Would highly recommended, great atmosphere, decent beers and a warm and friendly setting.

Great range of hand pumps Watch for £5 min on card, so carry cash as well!

Great city centre pub with an excellent range of real ales. Friendly staff and always someone to chat to. A proper pub, run the way a pub should be run.
