Amazing roast dinner, full of flavour and lots of food to share between two. We were very impressed with it. Thoroughly enjoyed👌
Brilliant food and open early enough on a Sunday to accommodate the hangover we had! Definitely a place to head to again and again :)
Great BBQ meat Sunday lunch, nice friendly staff and the gravy was amazing. Only thing that let it down was being charged £3 for a can of coke...
Arrived on a busy Saturday night. Managed to get a table for two nice and easy. Service is excellent. Wine is lovely. Portion size is very generous. You'll always leave feeling stuffed.
My only problem this evening was the slaw. I complained about it tasting to bitter/not fresh. The waitress was very friendly and quick to adjust my suffering. Huge dollop of mayonnaise sorted it. Still.... It still tasted bitter. I blame the veg supplier personally 🙄.
Either way, had a cracker of a meal. Everything was fit. Nice one guys and girls. Seven loves x x x x x x x
Absolutely delicious food and wonderful decor. We were recommended this place from ghetto golf and were not disappointed. As a party of 4 we ordered different bits and then shared them in the middle of the table. All were very tasty. A great independent restaurant!
I'm from out of town, but the first time I visited Liverpool, a local recommended this place. I went that first time and have been on every trip to Liverpool since. Why? Because it offers excellent food and has the self confidence to pull off (if you forgive the expression) the oriental slant on classic American bbq. Wings, ribs (pork and beef) and pulled pork and brisket shine, while the fusion of the lo pan banquet sings. Drinks also star. Nice vibe, nice staff.
The food took a while to get to us but once it did was pretty nice... the kornflake chicken was great! Portion size on sweet potato fries was a bit small and pulled pork on the dry side but the brisket was lovely!
Great food, not the best service. Staff member tried to remember order but forgot fries, so come out late. I ordered a beer, it didn't come.
She seemed only interested when giving us the bill (as she clearly wanted a tip) but when we never tipped her, she completely blanked us as we said thank you very much.
I've never had a bad experience here. Staff are a contender for the most accommodating in any Liverpool venue, same as the mother-bar next door. My only complaint is that downstairs now smells like pennies as the floor is made out of them. It was cool at first but maybe you should have put apoxy over it or something?
You have to try the fried chicken and waffles, and they must be sweet waffles, mind!
Probably the best Sunday roast in the City. Amazing slow cooked brisket that melted away, backed up with quality veg and all the fixings. You can tell the team here are on it - Caris our server was lovely and very knowledgeable about the food when we asked about our allergy needs. Top notch! The High light was drinking gravy out of the Toby jug each platter is served with.
