Went with my husband and daughter. The decor is very tasteful and staff very welcoming - hung up our coats! Had early evening 2 course meal £14.50 - delicious bread to start then croquettes and fish cakes which were divine. Followed by lamb for my daughter, calves liver for him and salmon for me. Could not fault any dish. Amazing value for money. Finished with a delicious meringue. Wine list was different from the norm - had a lovely red and Hungarian white. Lovely evening. Would highly recommend. We'll be back again.

I've visited Owens a number of times over the years and it has never disappointed. They offer bistro style food served by friendly staff and try to provide something for everyone. The menu can seem a bit eccentric as a result but the food is always good, portions tend to be generous and they definitely know how to make a good sauce. Puddings are delicious but a little rich. There is a small but well-chosen wine list with some unusual selections at very reasonable prices. All in all the value is excellent. Service can be a little slow so go with a relaxed frame of mind. Parking can be tricky.

Visited on opening night after rebranding from Owens and wasn't disappointed! Food was fab, drinks were locally sourced and not what i usually have but tried them and loved it. Perfect steak and rib of beef for mains. Owner was there and helped created a lovely ambiance x thanks for a great night .
