Just had a lovely meal here. I went for the soup of the day which turned out to be French onion soup. It was different to usual in that it was full of croutons and was topped with cheese. One of the nicest soups I've ever had. Totally indulgent comfort food at it's naughtiest. Perfect. I also had fish and chips which was as good as it could be with tartare sauce and mushy peas and a great big fish with lovely batter. Would definitely recommend this place. Cozy and welcoming too
Food was ok, not so different from fish & chips at other places.. food presentation was normal, a very thin slice of lemon that didn’t make a difference in the taste, but there were other sauces, salt and pepper as well as tartar sauce.. chips was great, the thicker part of the fish wasn’t cooked properly .. a little overpriced..
other than that, speedy service , you can use the wifi, toilets have no hooks or space to hang clothes or bag on, dogs are allowed, view is great, alcoholic drinks and beverages available at the bar. You can watch Sports on tv.
Many locals use the place as a regular.
I was staying in the car park in my motorhome and just using tha facilitates.
We didn't actually use the bar but can recommend it as a place to stay. Great value, close the city centre.
Great location within the Yacht club with views of the boats in the dock. Pay parking. Motorhomes £30 24 hrs CDP and water. Reasonably priced Pub food. One Steak was fatty. Not much veg on the plates. Good beer selection but no real ale on. Mix of clientele yachties and locals alike not posh at all very relaxed. Would go again.
Great pub/ bar. First time visit, was reasonably busy but was still able to get a table without waiting. Drinks were well priced, and food selection was good. Parking might be an issue at times, but it's on the docks so should be expected.
Attending a wedding reception, so I did not get to sample the food. The service was on point, the location perfectly suited the occasion and we all had a memorable evening.
Great place and fantastic value for money. Stop for 2 night in Motorhome food was fantastic and in a great location. toni gave us great service. Highly recommended
Had a lovely lunch here ( on more than one occasion) its set amongst the moored yachts and boats, a fantastic spot to sit and watch the world go by ,totally recommend a visit it's also dog friendly with very friendly staff,reasonably priced too...give it a 👍👍
