I had the pleasure of dining at the Shipping Forecast last night, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with a nautical theme that transported us to the high seas.
Danielle, our waitress, deserves special mention. She was an absolute gem, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the evening. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she guided us to some of the most delectable dishes and beers the bar had to offer.
The culinary delights at the Shipping Forecast are nothing short of exceptional. The mixed grill was fresh and flavourful, a testament to the bars commitment to quality.
In conclusion, the Shipping Forecast is a hidden gem in the world of student dining/drinking. With its exceptional cuisine, welcoming ambiance, outstanding service, and outstanding prices, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience. And a heartfelt thank you to Danielle, who made our evening even more memorable with her warm and impeccable service. We'll be returning soon to set sail on another gastronomic adventure!
Great place for students with food and beer. If you are student they have a discount in beers. I really liked the place because most of the pubs has only beer and drinks and at The Shipping and Forecast we can have both.
Came here yesterday for food and drinks. Was such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were fantastic! Very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome the whole time. The food was gorgeous and reasonable priced for the quality of it. We will definitely be back soon. They are also child and dog friendly. Thank you!

I have to say. The service was exceptional. Bella and Alex were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. There knowledge of the drinks they had on offer was excellent. I will certainly come here again, and would recommend it to anybody. Certainly 5 stars.
We've come here a few times before because of the decent prices and nice atmosphere. We came in today just before going out. Amber served 3 of us quickly, she was very nice with one of our mate's indecisiveness. Nice one!
Interesting place, with live music and variety of options on the bar and menu. Great location, very eclectic.
Cool bar with plenty going on. The menu is varied so you can find something for everyone including some sharing plates and nibbles. I have an allergy and this was easily catered for and the staff were knowledgeable on allergy information.
We were served by Kai who was absolutely amazing. He was happy to help, friendly and bubbly and also very accommodating. :) He made our experience a very pleasant one and it was refreshing to be served by someone so polite and kind.
