Chip shops in town are few and far between these days. The staff are friendly, the prices are alright and the food is good Chinese/Chip Shop fare. They have a table and bench inside, so if your lucky or inclined there is somewhere to sit and eat. Shuts fairly early about 9, probably to avoid the uber drunk people.
