My adult kids got the blooming motherpucker(chicken burger)and my god it was massive, realy nice too �I had mixed grill steak done perfect � everything piping hot , really will be going back .... went about 9 months ago was awful must have new chef along with new menu very impressive
Can highly recommend the bar and food and the prices ! Great atmosphere here, To those who choose to stay at the Premier Inn across the way. ignore the adjacent Beefeater with its top prices! This is what we did last week.Continue to flourish Jolly Miller and all all who work there!
Friendly staff, although not many about when we were in, as food took a little while to come. Food was reasonably priced but just just pub food nothing special.
We went for a meal has our hotel restaurant was busy. Even though busy we managed to get a table.
The menu had a great choice at reasonable prices. Service was good.and didn't have to wait long for our order.

I have frequented the Jolly Miller for years as it is my local. It used to be a great pub I would take friends and family too but lately has been very hit and miss.
I know menu was updated recently but consistency of meals such as mixed grill, fish and chips and steaks can differ greatly. I don't know if its due to staff turnarounds or shortages as I know hospitality has suffered greatly since covid.
Bar staff are ok but had to make a complaint about beer being warm a couple of weeks ago. The male bar person didn't seem to take it too seriously until he tested with a thermometer and it was too warm. No apology was given which should have been offered immediately or certainly after it was tested. He did offer us alternative small bottle of beer which was cold but there was a price difference which we had to point out to him. He did give us a refund reluctantly.
It's such a shame as it's generally a good pub especially sitting in the lovely South facing beer garden at the front with a cold beer.
I hate giving negative reviews but hope this helps owner.
Pleasant atmosphere. It was very busy but we found a table. The toilets need a good clean because there was a lot of dirt behind the doors and it's very small considering the size of the place
Large suburban pub owned by Greene King. I would say it is predominantly food led although they have plenty of screens to watch sport and also a couple of pool tables. I was staying across the road and went in for lunch about 4 times.
I gather they have live entertainment on certain nights but I didn't see any of that. Don't want to damn it with faint praise but the food is pretty standard pub fayre. Probably very similar to the GK pub by my house. It's not too expensive and it fills a hole in your belly. Couple of vegan options for me to choose from.
A big selling point for me were the EV rapid chargers in the car park. They're operated by a company called Eyvie (so) and they worked faultlessly on the 3 occasions I needed them.
Went at Lunchtime 24/08 and had the chicken platter . Excellent value , piping hot and tasty . Food is really good value for money and there is plenty of it . Staff work hard are friendly and checked all was ok when they brought the food . Keep up the good work . Really enjoyed this lunch and we will be back
Fantastic staff, especially the lady with tattoo behind her ear and lad with long hair behind the bar.( So sorry I didn't make a note of your names) Extremely busy night but their helpful friendly attitude ensured we were seated and served promptly. New menu was fabulous, I'd suggest not eating for two days before you go if you plan on trying one of the challenges, we tried and failed to complete the hell hound and big daddy burger challenges, but I would DEFINITELY come back and have another attempt.
Lovely food nicely presented. Friendly staff. Value for money. Especially the two meal deal for ten pound something. Looking fwd to another visit.
Enjoyed lovely lunch with 4 friends. Everyone enjoyed their food and staff very friendly and professional, nothing too much trouble. Food good quality.
Getting them to be attentive in serving you is challenging because they are so swarmed but set dishes and ala carte ordering are generally value for money but I felt the add on of coleslaw was too expensive and little. Good n timely follow up on the quality n liking of the food.
