High Tide Fish And Chip Bar & Restaurant

Visiting the area and looking for a Sunday evening meal. The New High Tide Fish and Chip shop came to our rescue. Speaking to the owners, they have been open just a few weeks. The restaurant was lovely and clean, staff were lovely and the food was hot and delicious. Great price, great food and great restaurant. You can eat in or take away. We will be back when next in the area.

Was having a lovely chat with the chef, and seeing that I couldn't decide between a spicy curry or some fish, he was like "I got you fam" and made me a special dish off the menu, a cod with a spicy massala batter! and it was delicious! the fillet was tender and full of flavour and the batter, while not too spicy, had a lovely interesting flavours within it's crisp layers, really amazing! I opted not to go for the chips as i'm on a diet, but will definitely come back to ask for this! Try asking for a spicy massala batter and hopefully they'll make another one, would recommend!

After reading a couple of bad reviews, I wasn't expecting too much. I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent and highly attentive service. We asked for 2 x standard size cod and chips. Just one of those would have fed both us and someone else besides. Loads of chips. I would have given it 5 stars if the chips had be more well-done and crisp.
