Great place with the best desserts that are always made and served freshly with the help of a really nice and friendly staff not to mention the highly prompt and punctual service.
Just stopped in for a quick coffee but love the layout and the vibe on the cafe. The location on a busy street gives light and a great opportunity to people watch. The food menu is limited but looks tasty so hope to come back for the smashed avo. Coffee was great!
I got super lucky that this cute little place was 1 step away from my hotel!
Loved the staff, the simplicity of the menu and of course the breakfast! Can we just talk about the goodness of their poached eggs on toast??? But of course I HAD to add salmon. Going back to the sour dough toast, omg! It had butter all over it: so heavenly and highly recommend it!
Heard so many good things about this place so i decided to give it a try for breakfast. I had the chocolate chip pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup, and the avocado toast. The pancakes are mouthwatering, fluffy and very juicy which i love !! Really nice place, and i love the fact that you pay your food first
Having spent most weekends I lived in London in Trade it was only fitting I returned when I was nearby.
Trade is everything you want in a cafe, great coffee, quality food, relaxed atmosphere and a lovely deck out the back that catches great sunlight in the summer. The menu is simple, personal favourites being the green eggs and ham and the buttermilk pancakes. Any of the sandwiches are also always a hit.
As well as the menu items there is an unrelenting array of cake and pastries of which I only ever sampled a fraction of them.
Table service only on weekends, weekdays just order at the counter and take your numbered spoon down to your table.
Enjoy! I'm already jealous that you're near enough to Trade to be considering dropping in!

Trade is, I think, a bit of a local’s secret. I was meeting a friend for brunch (my breakast as I had only just got up, his lunch) and had planned to go to Hotbox but just thought I’d check out the menu for Trade and suddenly thought I wanted to try that instead. When I arrived I walked right in and was just behind two other people. There wasn’t really a queue. Two minutes later and one practically stretched out the door!
Trade does a hell of a lot of things right. It's walkable from the City, it's staff are really lovely and there a pretty sizeable garden area out the back so you can lounge in the sunshine during the stifling summer heat.
I went there for lunch with the missus a few weeks back and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place which pretty much fulfils the blueprint for a nice cafe to sit as catchup. For food, I had a pork and apple burger/sandwich thingy and a beautiful brownie. This pork and apple is the only reason I'm not giving Trade 5/5 because, although good, the sandwich as rather slaw heavy - being the culinary philistine I am, the meat is more important than the veg.
Overall though, it's a really nice cafe for a meet up and a meal - will definitely return.
Find this little Gem and be transported into an oasis of gastronomic heaven. It's warm and friendly and a delight to be in. The food is absolutely fantastic, I cannot fault anything they serve. The old saying is 'You Pay for what you Get' well, Trade have gone beyond this, the food is crafted by some very special people and I cannot recommend this place enough.

Super chilled out place for breakfast/brunch with an amazing selection of cakes and other baked sweet treats and a lovely back garden.
I came for brunch here twice and I loved the space as well as the food. Service is a little disorganized - forgetting our drinks, bumping into things, generally not being friendly (which is important when you're still hangover on a Saturday morning :p ).
The sourdough toast though is good, despite a little crispy, and the pancakes are also nice and fluffy American-style.
Would recommend on a sunny morning!
Had a great meeting with AKBoogie last week and enjoyed some of the best coffee I've had in London recently. Also, their lemon and poppy seed cake was a delight!
A must if you're visiting the area or a real treat if you work near there.
Best brunch i ever eat. Quantity is amazing, the presentation looks so good. Really nice table. I already book for next Sunday ! 😍
Excellent brunch place with delicious dishes. Choose from egg dishes, grilled cheese, classic sandwiches, buttermilk pancakes and much more. Dog friendly. Cute urban outside space. Buzzy and friendly service.
Ordered oat latte & had the brownies. Latte was fine, brownies bit too sweet but the texture is nice. The baristas were friendly and serve quickly. They have seatings semi outdoor which looks nice. Probably will come back to try another bakeries.
We stopped at The Trade for some dessert and coffee, and were not disappointed. Granted the place was not busy, but service was friendly and fast. We had a very decent brownie and good coffee. That's all we needed.
I come for a lunch as a group of 2. The salmon and eggs dish was not great. In particular, the quality of the salmon was very bad. However, the avocado toast was really excellent, one of the best in London.
Really friendly service and staff. Everyone said hi to us. Seating is nice and there's space outside.
Coffee is OK, not amazing.
I don't write reviews ever. But that was the best breakfast I've ever had.
I had the chorizo chilli eggs and a large cappuccino with plenty of brown sugar.
Taste sensation!
Also served by a lovely friendly lady and the place has a breezy, easy vibe.
Had a very pleasant brunch, enjoying great coffee in a very cozy space.
My partner and I have been their regulars for 8 years, a Ruben was £7 back then, it’s now £12 Bloody Inflation! But we are still coming here often. Great quality food and service as always. My favourite has to be chicken and bacon club though! Recently I tried their pancake OMG that was sooooo good. From the look to the smell and the texture! The portion is big so you can easily share between two people.
The have this hidden garden which is a plus for brunch on a day with good weather. Lovely open space.
Avoid weekend if you want to have a good experience coz they are always full.
Nice wee cafe/eatery. Friendly staff, outdoor seating area. A bit poncy but quite reasonably priced for London standards. Food was tasty and coffee was good. Outdoor seating patio too for nicer days. Also the ‘sandwiches’ aren’t sandwiches but more like burgers, could probably be made more clear!
