Has to be one of the best experience's in ages the food was fabulous as was the service, had the t bone steak which was cooked to perfection, the wine selection was carefully thought out all at very reasonable prices, not my first visit and definitely not my last .
Really good food, excellent staff who are knowledgable about the menu and ingredients. House wine very good, value for money, will go back.
Been here three times already and the food is consistently good. The menu changes often so there is always something new to eat. Service is good and prices are reasonable.
Reliable local haunt. Consistently good food with great specials and pleasant wine. Simple yet satisfying.
Good Italian. A step up from your Stradas and Carluccios. A while since I've been but my first choice for Italian in the area.
Authentic, warm atmosphere, not too pricey.
This is one of my favorite places, one of those you never get sick of going over and over. Maybe because I'm italian and sometimes I want to feel like home and taste some of the flavours that I miss so much.
FOOD: Simple. They use proper ingredients and thy cook simple Italian dishes very well. The interesting part is that they have usual dishes that you can always find and then they like to create new dishes, so there is always something new to try.
Go for a starter, bruschetta or charcuterie with some wine.
Pasta is very well cooked, get the seafood spaghetti or sometimes the have fresh tortelli with ricotta!
The meat is good as well, like the brasayo or if you are lucky they will have fiorentina!
And then finish with the dessert and some sweet wine!
PLACE: the restaurant is small but cozy! I would suggest you go during the week, over the weekend is very very busy and in any case is better to book.
PRICE: I think it's average in London, in any case portions are really good. It's definitely worth it.
Definitely worth to try!
Truly fresh and delicious Italian food, nice relaxing atmosphere-we had a great time. The ingredients are also fantastic, genuine and well selected. Would love to go back.
Great lunch specials with a solid a la carte selection. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.
Went there with no expectations and I ended up having the best Italian meal in London during our three week holiday. If you’re looking for a real Italian experience in terms of food and service without the exuberant prices in central London, this is the perfect place.
As always: the fish was fresh, the pasta enchantingly hearty and the desserts made everyone do a double take. They have tastes and portion sizes for any sort of craving, the staff is consistently open and friendly. I’d say pick your time to come wisely - a balmy Friday night will be popular and lively, a rainy Tuesday lunch will be quaint and homey. As quintessential Italian as you can get in London.
I stopped with some friends at Osteria Antica Bologna and I fell in love with the place and the lovely staff. We ordered some starters (fried zucchini highly recommended) which brought me back to Italy straightaway. All the ingredients are fresh and well cooked! The main were absolutely wonderful. Staff was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! We will definitely go back!

It's been a while since last time a restaurant wowed me.
Very busy place, so booking a table is highly recommended.
Service is as good and friendly as you could ever imagine.
I had the best starter I've ever had, fried zucchini which was absolutely delicious. It did not come with any sauce to dip, but it was so good that it did not requiere any sauce to be enjoyable.
Then the main of the day, 1.2kg tomahawk! This left me speechless, so all I can say is that it was cooked to perfection and that I have already sent pictures to my friends, so they know where to get an exquisite beefy experience.
Fries were also very good, crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy inside.
Salad was well seasoned and last but not least, we were offer some Sicilian olive oil which left me wanting more and more.
Thanks for such an amazing experience, keep the good work up everyone :)

Fantastic vegetarian starters! Panelle, a Sicilian street food dish made from chickpea flour formed into fritters and pan fried, and in this case, with caraway seeds - superb. The courgette fritters were just too good to even get on the plate as we grabbed them from the serving dish. My crab linguine was top class and the spinach ravioli in lashing of butter drew ground of delight from my companions. The guests at our neighbouring table sang high praises for their veal starter with tuna sauce (another traditional dish rarely found in London restaurants) and veal cutlet on the bone which was bounteous. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly, I’d go back again whenever in the area.
First class Italian cuisine, enjoyed a veal starter and monkfish main with a great wine list to boot. Superb service. Highly recommend.
We had dinner here last night and I can't remember the last time I had such tasty pasta - simple but bursting with flavour (it was the pea and broad bean pappardelle). My partner's wild boar ragu was equally tasty. The starters were excellent - we shared some bruscetta and arancini balls - and the tiramisu rounded things off perfectly. The place was bustling and service was fantastic, despite every table being filled; a mark of a very well run restaurant. Highly recommended.
We had such an excellent lunch today, so high praise to the chef. The seared octopus was delicious, the spaghetti with seafood was very tasty, the zucchini fritters were light and crispy and the panacota was the perfect desert. The place is small, but full of warmth and the staff very friendly super efficient. 5 stars!
We stumbled across Antiica Bologna by chance and so glad that we did. It's a small place that was v busy so we were lucky to get a table.
The food was unreal, and the specials were absolutely delicious. We had octopus carpaccio and calamari for starter, seafood spaghetti and pink duck breast for mains, then the most delicious lemon tart I've ever had - a soft lemon base with a creme brulee texture and caremalised top.
The waitress serving us was lovely and really passionate about the food. She was really attentive and made some great recommendations.
Great experience & excellent food
Great restaurant! Comfy space, small but cute, I felt at ease! Friendly and very attentive staff! Equally important, my linguine with crab was scrumptious! I could not recommend it more.
