La Forchetta

By far the best pizza I’ve found in East London. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s been consistently good. Firstly they have a proper pizza oven, the pizzas are very generously sized, dough is tasty and nor to thick or thin and the toppings are fresh and high quality. They had a change of ownership in April but thankfully the food is still really delicious. We had to ‘proof’ that the chocolate cake and Nutella calzone were still up to snuff too 😉. Highly recommend anyone who climb’s at Bethwall climbing gym to pop across the road for some yummy Italian. They have a 2 for 1 offer on some pizza & pasta on Tuesday’s, a margarita for only £6 on Wednesday’s, Thursdays an unlimited menu for £35 and a £12.95 lunch set menu Friday-Sunday. The main menu for 2022 has a number of new things on it. I looks a bit aged from the outside, is a huge venue and never looks to be that busy but don’t let that discourage you, you won’t be disappointed

Quiet dinner, the quality was so good! The spinach tasted like grandma makes it and the salad was very fresh. They also have a really nice offer at lunch (I usually go for the pizza, nice and crispy and the proper way to eat pizza), it includes a drink and a main for just £7,50 and its a nice meal for the area. It's my go to place for the days off

I came for a meal as I'm attending training in London so was looking for dinner. I asked about the offer in the window which said one could have 2 courses for £12+- but was told this was no longer available. Odd considering there were no times stated on the poster. I ordered the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare which was delivered quite quickly and looked amazing. The portion size was astonishingly generous so in the end it was a good job I only had one course! The food was delicious and the seafood was beautifully cooked. The calamari was cooked perfectly as were the mussels and prawns. The sauce wasn't too rich but the dish lacked a little salt but this was easily resolved. Better too little than too much. The staff seemed a little sheepish and I think one of the staff were new but she was trying very hard. I hope her confidence improves with time. She was quite charming. Another young gentleman was also helpful and pleasant.
