One of my favorite breakfast spots in London! Amazing Colombian food, big portions, super friendly service, & one of the few places remaining in Brixton Villages not run by hipsters. A truly great find in London.

One of the best things about London foodie scene is that you can find international restaurants. I never had Columbian food before I went to Brixton.
One weekend I went with three friends (2 vegetarian) to Restaurante Santafereño. This restaurant isn't the most attractive restaurant,I haven't been properly inside as we ate on the outside table. Sometimes you should not judge a book by its cover and it is totally what happened with Santafereño. My friend chose this place as we walked around Brixton. I have to say when I saw the menu and the place I was a bit perplex on the food we would get there.
Two of my friends ordered the plato vegetariano, for £7 it was a real bargain, there was so much to eat on their plate. I was a bit jealous, but then my friend and I meat dishes arrived. I ordered Pollo en salsa de champiñones chicken for me, and again the portion was impressive.
Fries were not the best I had but I didn't really eat those as rice, plantain and chicken was enough for me. I

I really enjoyed finding this seemingly authentic Columbian restaurant hidden in London, but it makes me wonder...why is it impossible to find a similarly authentic Mexican restaurant in London?

I really cannot believe I have not put fingers to keyboard and bored you all to death about this wonderful place in the all new foodie heaven that is called Brixton Village. Maybe I just didn't want to let you know how good the food is there, so you wouldn't go and make it more difficult for me to get a table when we do our quarterly Colombian blow out. But let's be realistic here though, Colombian food is not the best in the world, it is not the most refined either. On the other hand it is big, bold and full of homeliness. There are several dishes that depending on where you live are considered to be the national dish of Colombia. Rolos or Bogotanos, those folk from the Capital consider Ajiaco as the number one national dish. But what do they know. Now Paisas or Antioquenos, those happy chubby folk form Medellin and the coffee zone of Colombia know that the Bandeja Paisa is the National Dish of Colombia. As you can see I am slightly biased, well married to a Paisa, whose only contact

Nice traditional dishes. Very busy during the weekends. Actually, I went on Sunday and they offered me to share a table (thing that I didn't mind at all).

Expect fresh products, traditional cooking, fair prices and quite big portions.

Probably the last remaining truly authentic community restaurant in Brixton. All hearty Colombian classics cooked to perfection at very reasonable prices. A very convivial communal atmosphere at weekends when Colombian families come here for a Sunday treat. We have been coming here over the last 15 years and are particularly addicted to Bandeja Paisa Grande, Colombia’s best on one platter. Another favour is Caduleta de Mariscos, a delightful seafood stew. Huge portions, honest food. They do not add the ridiculous “discretionary tip” without asking like elsewhere, so please tip if you like the food.

The best discovery I’ve had for a while in London! The food was so delicious and of excellent quality. We got an arepa con queso which was the best, a parrillada BBQ and two beers for only £30. Great value for money and very authentic setting. One of my favorite places to go.

This place is located in Brixton village where you can find all sort of things. Foods from any country but anyway the review is about the place. The food is very good. The spicy sauce as well and gives a slight kick. The main and best things about the place is the quantity. You can get 2 wines or 2 beers and a BBQ Picada for 18 pounds and the Picada is massive. Pork belly, fried plantains, chicken and grilled meat as well. The chorizo was amazing as well and it had chips, the things nearly were falling over the plate! Both quantity and quality. The drinks were nice as well. The mango smoothie was natural and flavorful. Nice staff. If you somehow have an empty stomach you can have dessert, brownies and other things like jelly and cheese... There's a large drinks menu and a breakfast one- soup, savouries and coffee etc. Definitely a have to go and must try; you might regret not coming here. Everything is homemade. If you want a great deal and probably the best out of the whole menu you should definitely try the T-BONE steak that comes with fries, salad and fried plantains once again. Probably a 4/5 stars place, the only downside- not just this one but most reasturants in the village haven't got a toilet oft heir own except a sink and you need to go through the village to some dirty toilets.

The photos really don’t do justice to just how good this food is. This food made me feel warm inside, cozy, it was filling, tasty, the place had great vibes, and it was super affordable. We ordered a lot of the starters and then one big dish to share which was so amazing we didn’t take a photo because we just wanted to eat it so bad. It was the one with the steak, chorizo, fried egg, beans, rice and fried plantain. Perfect dish. The freshly squeezed juice was super fresh and tasty as well, I took passion fruit.

Absolutely in love with this place! Honestly hard to describe, you have to give it a go. Great, honest food - taste like home I would say. Staff is very polite and the whole vibe of the place move you out of London. Never been to Columbia but I believe its like this. Thanks!

One of my favourite places in Brixton market. They offer a lunch menu which, for a fair price (I believe it was between £10-14), which includes a drink and a main course (Unsure about desserts, however). We got a sugar cane beverage along with a chicken-based dish, which were both on point. Furthermore, the ambience was amazing, as they were playing Latino hits, usually in the 'disco' vibe, which definitely was a plus. The only main downside is that it can get cramped easily.

My go to when in Brixton..food is really good...always ask for the menu of the day as there is loads of choice and food is freshly made daily. Perfect if you have kids as they have soup, main course (meat, rice, beans or lentils, potato or chips and salad) and drink on the menu of the day and costs about 11 pounds, on weekends is more.. if you have one or two small children , it's enough for all of you..food is amazing and tastes amazing.
