A very different place to all I have visited today. Modern in a modern building. Firstly, the most wonderful smiley staff, great service and efficient and (I am allowed an extra "and" now and again!) lovely. The Union is very kind friendly, lots of families having a sit down and a meal. Respect for having Timmy Taylor's Landlord on tap, unexpected but appreciated even though I don't drink it. Super place.

Love the option of indoor/outdoor dining. The menu is not too big but there are some delicious options on there for small plates or a main dishes to choose from. Good selection of wines. The fried chicken small plate could have potential to be a wonderful dish but mine seemed to be dry in the middle and super duper crispy as if it had been recooked. The croquettes was extremely crispy and very dark brown like the color of chocolate. The same was with the croquettes they seem to be dry reheated or re-cooked an oil. Again the croquette was so dark it's the same color is chocolate. Overall the location is a great place. I don't know if this was just a one-off situation or if this is typical food. ** UPDATE** Helen the GM and I have had good conversations online and has been very cordial about my feedback . I changed from 3* to 4* since she has been receptive to my feedback.

Thought about having your breakfast in a pub? You should definitely try the brunch options here. The bread is amazing, prices are fair and the food is delicious. Pub is directly next to Paddington Station and 5min walk from Little Venice. We had salmon avocado bread with poached egg, avocado bread with scramble egg and waffles with Jogurt and fruits. Coffee was also very good and it’s good that you can choose oat or soy milk as an alternative. Service was very friendly :) We definitely recommend this pub!
