Amazing food!
Fast and friendly service!
Love this place
Been here a few times , service is excellent, staff are welcoming and food is great - you can tell this place is good by the number of Chinese who eat here ... I have to laugh at the comments of others who complain they didn't get a knife -lol , clearly never been to a proper Chinese then ...
Will be back !
Lovely place in chinatown. Had to wait a little to get a table. But expected on a saturday afternoon. However they have a daily dim sum menu, with huge varieties of dim sums. Its very reasonably priced. There adequately portioned. Very tasty and explosive flavours. In my own opinion its a must visit plac despite the number of restaurants in the vacinity.
(Poor photo's hunger stroke fast)
A great place for yummy dim sum for a relatively cheap price.
Service is also quite good and food comes out at a good pace. The restaurant is also clean and quite spacious.
Okay. Food, people and decor were nice. Nothing more complicated than that really.
Set meal for four people (P3) Fantastic quality. Really enjoyed the food and the service was very good. Waiter at our table was chatty and very attentive. Would recomend to all
Typical tourist chinese fayre. Speedy service but hardly with a smile!
Golden Pagoda offers very nice food and it's all well priced. Nothing stands out in terms of recommendations as all of their dishes are of a good standard, but I've heard that their Dim Sum is truly delicious.
The restaurant is great for casual meet ups with friends over some tasty food and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The service is attentive and friendly.
All in all, Golden Pagoda is an all-rounder at a reasonable price.
Dim Sum heaven. 6 dim sum pots and bottle of wine £40 with service charge. Recommended.
Dim sum daily UNTIL 5pm. Eat in and takeaway available however takeaway menu is cheaper and no 12.5% service charge thrown into the bill. Congee available as well but also till 5pm.
One of my go to spots for dimsum. Their steak rib is exclusive and is very delicious. Average cost £25/ person. Portions sizes are average. Service below average. The duck rice takeaway is also great, £11-12 per box I believe.
Very goof authentic Chinese food.
Good taste, nice portion and good service.
The aubergine were amazing and as well the noodle.
Good price as well.
Excellent location, right in the heart of London's Chinatown. Right opposite the two lion statues.
To be honest, we chose this restaurant as it was one of the early opening ones on a Sunday. Most open at 12 noon, a few open at 11.00am.
We didn't want to go mad, so we ordered three dim sum dishes each.
*Chicken feet with black bean and chilli
*Veggie bean curd roll
*Cheung fun with dough roll
*steamed pork dumplings with vinegar
*prawn and chilli dumplings
*steams custard buns
Each dish tasted fresh and delicious, I didn't try the steamed bun, but I was told that it was nice. The jasmine tea was the perfect accompany to the meal, not too heavy or strong.
If I were to nitpick, I'd say the dips per dish could have been a tad fuller. They ought to bear this in mind.
But we felt staff were helpful and polite.
The only thing is, I don't think there are lifts, its stairs all the way up.
We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the main Gerrard Street.
Note that 10% service charge is added to your bill.
Would definitely like to visit again.
One of the best dim sum restaurants in London. My friend took me there. All we ordered was just amazing especially roasted pork. I would definitely go back there.
Satisfactory experience, staff took away plates, then gave bowls, then took them away as our order will be served on a plate to eat individually. Food was good and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants along China Town strip
We had a set menu of 4 but for three and it wasn’t really too much. Food was good, I’d say somewhat under seasoned and in the competitive environment of China Town the place didn’t stand out, and had some typical dead pan no emotion service!
While the service was somewhat slow, the food, particularly their pan-fried noodles, was quite enjoyable. In sum, I appreciated the overall experience, which, while not extravagant, was a decent and satisfying one.
Not sure why some are giving this place a hard time.
A busy Sunday afternoon. Nice food, good service & clean loo(s). We will be back.
6 x Dim Sum, 2 x beers £46 ( 12.5 % service Inc)
We first ate here in 1978. Everytime we come to the Theatre we always dine at this restaurant. We came here yesterday after watching Jersey Boys. Food was as delicious as ever and the service was great. There were lots of Chinese people dining there too, which is always a good sign and proves it's authenticity. Can't wait to come again.
Had pork dumplings, Pak Choi and sweet and sour chicken and it was all delicious. Came out super fast too!
