Excellent place to try Carribbean food if it's your first time. Authentic fresh Carribbean cuisine. Reasonable prices. Curry goat is outstanding heavily recommended.

Hosted a private event at Market House for a joint Birthday and was really impressed. The staff were increidbly professional and friendly, and everyone who came said they had a great time. The upstairs was perfect with what we needed, the sound system was very good, and the space was intimate but still spacious. Would definitely recommend!

2nd time here. Previously, we had booked a table. This time, we were able to walk in. Just a suggestion, I would say it might benefit by having more seating. The young gentleman who served us was very polite. I would highly recommend the honey fried chicken salt fish fitters & honey mac n cheese. ( Yes, I said honey, in both dishes but soooo nice) Definitely recommend.

Booked brunch with my sisters @ Original Flava. Was not disappointed! All food was flavoursome and well cooked. I had a vegan starter of plantain channa roti dhal & curry goat as my mains. Absolutely scrummy! My sister's had prawns & saltfish fritters. Fritters were a little too crispy for my liking but the taste was good. The serving staff were absolute stars. Top marks for customer service. Definitely coming back to try the Carib-British Sunday roast.

A nice simple place to grab some lunch. Wish they had more options on the menu considering they have a cook book....

So I can't comment on the food in the establishment yet. However, I did meet the owners when I used to work at Sky and tried their food, and it was lovely, so going by that, the food must be banging This place is called a house and still technically is called Market House; man used to rave in my closeted days. However, This time I was here for a comedy show, and the vibe was on point. I will have to come here one day and do my review because I've heard its reviews in the past via word of mouth and on social media, and like you, I'm going to take myself there and find out.

I was keen to try their Sunday Lunch after hearing great things about the restaurant and had to book 5 weeks in advance for a reservation. The food certainly met expectations and was worth the wait. I choose the Sunday Roast mixed option, which was lamb & chicken with the usual roast trimmings, it tasted great, shout out the roast potatoes as they came out perfect 👌🏾. The meal overall was amazing and looked great too, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try for Caribbean food in the very competitive market for such food in Brixton. Atmosphere was nice, I went early about 2pm on a Sunday so cannot really comment, but it was starting to get busy. They don’t have many tables, as I think it’s also a bar in the evenings, so I’m sure it gets lively. Service was good, no complaints there helpful Maître D, which is always good.

£10.50 Honey Fried Chicken “Mad Ting Meal” was good value and substantial for what you get. Gravy was too salty, but generally a good meal. Cocktail also well done by the bartender. Really impressed w/ the menu; lots of variety and deals. Atmosphere was pleasant too. Hopefully they stick around! Will be back

For those who haven’t been, markethouse is the venue and Original Flava have the residency for the restaurant. Original Flava serve high quality and homely Caribbean food. I highly recommend the channa plantain tacos to start, and the goat curry was excellent. Be sure to add on plenty of plantains. At 10PM the venue turns into a bar with a DJ, banging tunes. The service was good, they took some time bringing out the jerk chicken because they were so busy, so they gave us some free mac n cheese and plantains. Book in advance!
