Dawat, Tooting - one of my favourite restaurants, the waitress Sheryn always has welcoming warm smile on her face as she ushers us to our table. The food is exquisite, especially the masala fish and kebabs, I regularly buy zarda (sweet orange coloured rice), to takeaway and their kheer too is AMAAAZING !
Highly recommend you visit Dawat in Tooting, it is the place to enjoy good Asian cuisine.
The best Asian breakfast in Tooting. Sunday mornings are the usual family gathering day for a traditional Asian breakfast of Halwa, puri, haleem and anything else that you fancy. The non-initiated, be aware that there is no tone down of flavours to cater for the western pallet. Its all 100% authentic Pakistani/Indian cuisine with waiters from the region go match. The Mago lassi is a great alternative to the European orange juice ick me up in the morning and the bread are made to order - hot and fresh. The entire place is so inviting with the smells of spices and baking all at the same time. You may need to reserve as the place is popular with the locals who know quality and want standard good service. There is plenty of space for large or small groups - we Asians tend to gather in our tribal packs! There is even an open place for the toddlers to play, you can watch them while you eat, how convenient. They have recently refurbished and its clean and well maintained. Casual family dining that you can rely on. If your passing through it is one of the best places to eat in the area so give it a try at any time. Four stars as the tea and coffee and desserts options are not so good but food-wise it's hard to find fault.
What an Asian restaurant. I doubt there can be many finer than this. Me & my family went on a Monday and it was so busy, the atmosphere was fab, the food, staff wer all spot on. Absolutely love this place.. expect to wait as it's very popular, but definitely worth it! ... will defo be returning

a place which would impress the customers from its menu only. be it murg chana or lahori fish or the chicken keema naan, which was something i found in Dawat only in whole London. loved the place
"Tried this place and kept coming back because of the service - the food is really good, have tried many dishes including the Biryani, Korma and Paneer Tikka Masala. The place has good flavours in most of their dishes and I havent really complained about anything. Some dishes are average but all-in-all, a nice place to have a family dinner.
Ambience: This place is a comfortable seating and nice atmosphere. A nice family kind of place.
Service: The service was quick - the staff is friendly as well.
Food: The food here is good. Everything we tried was tasty - no complains. It is flavourful just as one would expect while eating out.
Location: The location is easy to find but the parking is a bit of an issue so have to wait queit a while during peak times.
Recommendations: It is a nice place to go to once in a while. I have visited a few times and don’t see a reason to not go again.

Discovered this place by chance today. Had their halwa poori weekend special which actually is chhole bhatoora and halwa. Delicious and well made. They even gave green chillies and raw onion salad to make it a truly desi experience for me. Will be returning soon to try more
I took a kebab role on the go from Dawat recently. It was superb. Kebab roles are often dry. But this one soft and juicy. The nan was freshly baked, the kebab succulent and the salad raita was fresh too.
Dawat offers halal Indian cuisines. The food is just phenomenal and very authentic. I have ordered pretty much every single chicken dish they offer and they are all very flavorful. I would definitely recommend the chicken karahi and the mixed kebab is also very nice.
The only downside to this restaurant is the interior décor, mainly because it has not been given any significance. The room is filled with a few small wooden table and chairs. It can also get very busy during the evening and service is not the best I have experienced and can be extremely slow during busy times.
Overall, I only come to this restaurant for the food, it lacks in providing a nice dinning atmosphere.
The price of the food was reasonable. The food was well presented, and it tasted good.
The spice added good flavouring to the food without you having to feel it was too spicy.
The service was good. A group of people can reserve a private room, which is great for parties and meetings.
This is a wonderful, authentic Mughal food experience. The restaurant is a premium experience with luxury surroundings. The service is exceptionally quick, which is great if you're hungry. Get the staff to read back your order as they got two dishes mixed up. However, they quickly rectified this with no fuss. You can expect to pay much more for this experience in restaurants that do not meet the quality and authenticity of this experience. Fantastic value for money and service.
I think a bit hyped. Otherwise prices are almost as much as other restaurants around.
Service was good and quick.
Place is really busy and feels bit rushed.
Mixed grill was good and most importantly quality of the meat is really good.
Sindhi mutton Biriyani was just ok/average.
Lamb kadai was very oily but tasty.
Naan's could definitely have been better

I usually always go for Turkish food to stay safe but I’ve been growing so bored with grilled meat. The food at this restaurant was phenomenal, the flavours were truly unmatched. I’m really surprised to have enjoyed it as much as I did. We got (FREE) complementary desserts! 10/10!! Definitely recommend
Aqib Ali was a fantastic waiter! He was so lovely and recommended the most delicious food. The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere with lots of bars and is constantly full every day of the week! You do not need to book but will be seated within two minutes. Could not recommend the restaurant more!
The food was very tasty 😋 and the service was on top form. Especial mention goes to HASNI for providing extra care and good service to us. Really recommend her work and she had smile throughout our time in the restaurant.
Love the mix grill! (spicy but really tasty). Garlic naan very recommend too! Butter chicken was a lil blend and the chicken was really dry. But overall the food is really nice. Will come back for sure.
I came here because my friend strongly recommended it and he's been here more than 20 times. It's a shame I didn't take a picture of everything but all the dishes we ordered were sooo delicious, well seasoned, and well cooked! A little bit salty to me but you can still enjoy them a lot with bread and rice. Highly recommend this place.
Best chicken karaii… proper lahori taste… and we were served very well by afroz!
The Food was amazing for a reasonable price. Good Customer Service. Will return definitely.
10/10 for the lamb biryani. The best lamb biryani in London. Tender and juicy meat with mild masala and spices mixed in perfectly cooked rice. Friendly and fast service with good ambience for a perfect evening.
