when they first refurbished i wasn't sure it would work...i have lived in the neighbourhood for 12 years so knew the old place & it's clients. then they started brewing & to be honest the first pints i had from the cellar were poor (as it turns out not one mile end brewery :-).....BUT i recently thought i'd give it another go...& the pint of snakecharmer i had was just fantastic! the best i.p.a. this side of tallinn:-) i got talking to the knowledgeable & friendly bar staff & mentioned that something must have happened since the first pint i tasted several months back ...& what do you know...indeed it's a different brewer in residence now! good to know my taste buds are still working.

one of the best station for changing lines. district and central change is sooo easy just walk across. nothing crazy like oxford street or green park stations.

The best underground station in London for me and us who live or used to live near by. This is the main station for Queen Mary's students and access to Victoria park. The station is old and don't have lift but still this is the best station for us. Here you can get Central line, district line, Hammersmith and city line. I think they should modarate the station nd make it nice and accessible for disable or elderly person.

Tube station in East end of London on Central and District lines I can't comment on facilities as went from Central line train to District line train (and reverse on way back) and that was all But this was incredibly simple as the platforms are next to each other and very well sign posted Tube maps for both Central and District lines are clearly visible As is train information, next train due, location etc

Friendly and helpful staff keep this very busy station going quite efficiently. As an additional bonus, you get some words of wisdom written on a whiteboard after the ticket barriers. They're refreshed daily. And no, they're not about which lines are running slow, or which section is not beset by "signalling" problems. They're about life! The station could do with some lifts and escalators.
