We invited some friends from the US to meet us here. It's a nice location, in the heart of the west end, and a nice place to walk into. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and taken to our guests, who'd arrived shortly before us, before being shown to our table. The food was lovely, but the crumble, that two of us chose from the prix fixé lunch menu when we ordered our starters and mains, wasn't available by the time we were ready for pudding 😞
Oddly, the waiting staff leaned over us to pass glasses, plates of food and cutlery to our guests, rather than walking around the table!
The afternoon tea here is quite nice but nothing remarkable. I liked the sandwiches, the ham was especially nice. The sweets were tasty, but too sweet. None of us anywhere near finished them. They didn't have 2 of the teas when we went (and didnt inform us of this before ordering), which seemed like an issue to me with not a massive selection. The decor was quite nice and the seating was very comfortable
Was in London on a city break and found this spot on tripadvisor. Service was excellent. Got the surf & turf with sweet potato fries. Great atmosphere, good selection of drinks. Would return.
We had a good experience here. Food was decent, nothing spectacular at least price point wasn’t mad. Service was standard. There was a live singer playing the piano. The interior decor feels a bit kooky with strange steps and corners but fun!would come back.
We had a lovely brunch here and some excellent cocktails (Can’t go wrong with a espresso martini). We were very well looked after by the whole crew who went above and beyond to make the experience special. Thank you

The food, atmosphere and service was excellent, I'm going to repeat.
We went there to have afternoon tea. To our surprise there was live music, what a great performance.
The waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive.
The restaurant is decorated in an Art Deco style, which I liked a lot.
I absolutely recommend giving it a try!
From the moment you enter Browns the staff are nothing but attentive. We were looked after by Leo on Saturday 28th October for a mid morning breakfast. Not only was he accommodating in allowing us to move to a more preferable seat in the restaurant, but he was also conscientious, warm, polite and friendly throughout our visit. He didn’t even need a notepad to remember the changes to our traditional breakfast order!
We paid with birthday vouchers, which he too took before even asking for the bill and then offered a complimentary hot drink to enjoy whilst our breakfast went down.
If anything it was a little noisy, but this is understandable given our 2nd visit was on a Saturday in half term.
Leo and his service with a smile is one of many reasons whilst we will continue to return to Browns when we visit London.
Was in a group of 8 people for a birthday lunch in a bank holiday Sunday. Service was pleasant but a little slow and inconsistent. They forgot one starter and a main and had to rush it out. A few minor annoyances; roast pork was served with horseradish, when we highlighted this apparently they had run out of apple sauce. Also they said they had run out of nearly every beer on tap. The overall atmosphere was nice with pianist singing and playing.
Amir and Matteo treated us so well. Highly recommend he smoked pancceta and the lobster benedict, perfectly cooked, runny yolk and salt and sweet combination on point
The venue and food were amazing and our servers Samuel and Amir were absolutely lovely. They were very attentive and the food came quickly. Highly recommend Browns in Covent Garden.
