Highly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble and very accommodating for those with special dietary requirements. I was given a choice of 4 options for my meal choice (Vegan) and was also informed that if there was anything I found on the menu that could be adapted they would do that too. Truly enjoyed the gnocchi dish that was prepared, so fresh and tasty. One of the nicest meals I have eaten when out and about.
Came for a meal this evening (three people). The monkfish starter and the Pear and Walnut salad starter, alongside the gammon steak was all lovely. The gorgeous specials were a treat and the staff were extremely attentive and very friendly. What a treat for a Tuesday evening!
A burger and a dessert turned into a lovely meal and 3 desserts to share between the two of us!
A lovely open fire (there's 3 of them!) comfy sofa, made it difficult to get up and leave. Definitely a pub to revisit.
My hubby and I went there on Sunday 10th September for my birthday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had a lovely roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and my hubby had the roast chicken. The meat was very tender, vegies lovely and crunchy and the service was great and people very friendly! We'll definitely be back there for Sunday roast again.
We popped in with our baby and daughter for lunch today and we were so glad we did. My daughter and I had the fish and chips which were so fresh and tasty, and my husband had the white bull burger with blacksticks blue which was delicious (and my baby enjoyed some chipolatas! ). The staff were very friendly and helpful. They immediately brought some colouring things for my daughter which kept her entertained whilst she waited for her food, along with the little fish tank that she was obsessed with. We will definitely be returning!
Went for evening meal on Sunday. Really nice choices on menu. I opted for the burger, which was really nice. My wife chose the small fish and chips, which was superb. For dessert one apple crumble (probably the best I've had) and sticky toffee pudding for my wife, which was amazing as well. Service was really good. We'll certainly go back based on this experience and would recommend to others.
Closure of the M6 sent us out of our way on a long trip. We were tired and hungry and stopped at this place as we drove past. The staff are excellent and friendly and the food we ordered was delicious, honest pub grub of high quality. We had a lovely Sunday dinner each. The beef was very good indeed and the Yorkshire puddings were the best I've had in a long while.
Next time I'll come here on purpose!

I had the White Bull burger, which is really nice, and I like the fact that the ingredients are locally sourced. There is an outdoor area to have your drink in the sun. Friendly staff and a nice chilled atmosphere 👌

Just had Sunday lunch, had the 2 course menu , excellent value for money at 19.99, food was hot, tasty and top quality, asked for beef as pink as possible and it certainly was, I asked if they could do cauliflower cheese as I just fancied it, chef was more than happy to do it. Staff so friendly and Gabby was such a good host. Definitely be back again as it’s on our door step.
