We nipped into this pub after mooring for the night. I’m leaving this review because I was blown away by the place. The lady at the bar (sadly I didnt catch her name) gave the most friendly welcome I have ever received walking into any form of hospitality. Better than some 5* restaurants I’ve been too (no joke!!) there was great facilities for dogs. The drinks were very reasonably priced. However, the headline, the homemade white chocolate cheesecake, please please please never get rid of that. Amazing! We didn’t eat from the main menu however I definitely would have if we hadn’t already of eaten the food looked class. Top pub, fully deserved 5* review.
Lovely rural pub. Very dog friendly with nice touches. We came for a few drinks and lunch with our two dogs after visiting How Hill. The service was quick and friendly. We had a starter each as only wanted a light lunch. The prawn cocktail was very good. Massive portion and really good quality prawns. That filled us up! The food other people had also looked good. Will be back soon as the roast dinners looked lovely!
Didn’t eat, but food looked good, good range of ales, ciders & wine, 15 min walk from Ludham Bridge free moorings.
Just stopped here for a drink. As we've always driven past it.
Lovely old village pub, very friendly staff, lovely outside seating area.
Spot on!!!!! Various GLUTEN FREE food available. The best pub we have visited whilst cruising on the Norfolk Broads. In fact we visited here twice during our cruise. Staff are very welcoming. The new chef Joe has a fantastic outlook on food….keep up the good work. Very well presented and extremely tasty. Thank you to all of the staff for an enjoyable experience!!!
Typical pub grub, well cooked, well presented, and an enjoyable lunch.
Decor was not quite as expected, the tables & chairs reminiscent of a transport cafe, all clean & tidy. The menu was varied, the food we had was cooked well & enjoyable, averagely priced. Other people were complimentary about their meals too. Apparently there is a fairly new chef too. My husband LOVED the Lemon Posset pud. The barman & waitress were professional & caring. No complaints at all about the food & drink. Popular with friendly locals too. Would eat there again.
Stopped off for a swift pint on our walk, fist time there for us , good selection of Ales, 3 on Draught, and Gin's, very friendly staff behind the bar, one to go back to and try the food
We had a brilliant experience at The Dog. Food was five star. We had the Greek Night menu and was blown away by how authentic it was and also how much there was. I had the 3 courses and was stuff. Will be back.
Very friendly. Good food reasonable price. Had vegan soup and vegan burger. Veggie husband had creamy mushrooms and nachos. All good and dog friendly too.
