Bar Louie - Lyndhurst

Intriguing menu so we headed over from the Hyatt to grab a bite and watch the Tampa/Colorado hockey game. After being seated, told that they couldn't bring in the game. At this point, we were preparing to leave. Marissa was working the Bar and came to the rescue. She worked some magic finding our game!! Prestious was our server. We indicated we were not in a rush and ordered our drinks along with the deep fried pickles. She was very helpful assisting us in our selections. We ordered more drinks, the Home made burger with loaded tots, and the Voodoo Jambalaya. Again, we indicated not in a rush. We had wanted to settle in for the game. The restaurant was not busy. All the food was awesome, came out quickly, and the bill was dropped at the table. What about dessert and more drinks?? Money was definitely left on the table tonight. We are two hospitality professionals that have worked within the industry for many years. Our hope is that someone will take the time to assist a potentially great employee on how to read a table. Looking forward to seeing these improvements on our next visit.

Zero Stars is what’s deserved. Today, for the first time, I ordered “Take Out” from Bar Louie’s through a delivery service, but this issue is the merchant’s fault and not the delivery service. I ordered a Meatloaf Grilled Cheese, and after taking a bite, I realized that I was not eating meatloaf, but instead an overcooked breaded chicken grilled cheese. Obviously, I was given the wrong sandwich, but the sandwich or grilled cheese looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Who’s responsible for preparing these meals? Obviously, no one is paying attention to orders because meatloaf and chicken are two different proteins. What if I was allergic to chicken? Also, when ordering online, loaded fries and loaded tots should specify the food items that will be used instead of having customers assume or guess. They could be loaded with anything or something someone is allergic to.

We came in on a Tuesday and Wednesday night with a large group. They had a skeleton crew and the entire restaurant was packed, thirsty and hungry after 9 pm. The bartender (Marissa) was managing the bar and the restaurant alone, and did a great job managing orders and people. A few people did wait a bit but any reasonable person would understand why. Great job both nights, thanks Jamie our server as well.

I stopped in with my fiancé for some tacos and a drink at the bar this weekend. We got served by Marissa and Melissa (the two bartenders) they were absolutely amazing. They made us laugh, they took our order very quickly, and made all drinks so quickly. I’m not kidding when I tell you that they made over 100 drinks within the time we sat there. And the bar was clean, dishes were constantly being done, they were handling to go orders and phone calls, along with all their own customers. There was an event in the village so it seemed a bit busier than normal with to go drinks, but these two were on top of it! The tacos were delicious and the drinks were great! We even stopped to speak with the manager about how great these two employees were! The manager was so kind and really took the time to listen to what we were saying about his employees. We cannot wait to return and will absolutely always request to sit with these two incredible bartenders! I highly recommend you try sitting at the bar if you go out to Bar Louie and you’ll get the best service and of course incredible drinks and food!!

The food and drinks were pricey but good overall. The waitress was nice and professional. The only odd thing was the person who sat us at our table. I think he was the manager I'm not sure. But he wasn't very welcoming. He threw the menus at our table and said nothing. The odd part is he was very friendly to these two young women half his age at a nearby table. He put in much more effort finding reasons to be by there table to flirt with them in a creepy way. I guess when it came to us though. We didn't deserve to even be spoken too. I'm not one to leave reviews often, and I'm not trying to come off picky. It just kind of took away from the experience. To be fair if you want good atmosphere and drinks it's a nice place. It's just hard to give it 5 stars after his behavior towards us.
