lovely food. was a bit cold and slow but the food is really nice. probably not enough staff but food is really nice still.
I went to Eden with a party of 15 for my birthday and i must say they where extraordinary. the service was top notch with every need catered for, and the food was amazing, especially given how cheap it was. the whole table agreed that it is the best place to eat anywhere near canal street. the atmosphere is perfect with decent music at a low enough volume that conversation is comfortable, and not over crowded but not empty. i would very much recommend this place to anyone.
More people need to try this place. Excellent food (although desserts were limited and we didn't enjoy ours) and great prices especially with the taste card or gourmet card... Both 50% off.
Service was good and friendly. The courses were well paced so we had an opportunity to catch up with friends and enjoy our time in the cosy room. The restaurant was quiet and my friend who has been before said it was that that the last time. Would recommend you try this place and support a restaurant that has a worthwhile menu.
It's certainly worth making the effort to walk down the small dirty side street, that leads to the badly signed restaurant, to descend down the uninspiring entrance, for the food at this place!
While sitting outside, watching the long boats go by, I had an amazing 'plank' (choice of 3 items from the available selection) with chorizo, squid and parma ham. My plan was to have this as an appetiser, and then have something else, but after polishing off the delicious food, there was no way I could eat another thing.
The menu has a good selection of vegetarian items, and a number of great specials - the plank was £12, and included two small glasses of wine (and they were anything but small).
What a great way to spend a summers afternoon!
Eden is a Bar and Restaurant on Canal Street in Manchester. I've not tried the food, and the range of drinks is pretty average, but I'm willing to cut it some slack because there is a boat moored outside with chairs and tables including one right on the prow which is a lovely place to chill out on a warm summer day and watch the world go by. Prices are good too.
This is the gay village's hidden gem. Much more peaceful and intimate than the main bars in Canal Street, yet right there on the canalside. Great food and prosecco from £15 a bottle.
Pleasant atmosphere, chilled and relaxed. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was tasty, good portions. Great start to a New Years Eve night out.🖒🖒
Met with some great friends at Eden Bar, great food and most welcome venue not to expensive.

Was there last year during pride. The music was great and the food was nice too. Heard it's closed down!!!! Very disappointed!!!! It's now a American themed caberet club!!!!! Mistake!!!!!!! This is Manchester not Hollywood!!!!!!😀
