Fabulous place. I've had breakfast here twice, and both times Mary & Archie delivered in spades. Service, food, value for money all present and correct here.

Well worth a visit. Don't be surprised if it's full at regular mealtimes though.
Had the most delicious lazy, Sunday brunch here yesterday. Service was so efficient and proprietors very friendly and flexible. Good was delicious and atmosphere lovely and relaxed. Love the eclectic design style and laid back vibe.
Best vegan breakfast for miles
I’m not a a fan of paying for breakfast as a vegan as usually it’s dull. This was anything but. Good quality and variety of tastes on my plate. Couldn’t be happier to have found somewhere to go out for breakfast. Brilliant

The pizzas went down rather well - good bases topped with a tasty pizza sauce and a generous smattering of toppings on all of them. After having decided against ordering a pizza myself I found it hard to resist the last slice of the Funghi Heather couldn't eat which was lovely though it had gone a bit cold (greedy).
We had the vegan meze platter and some chicken wings. It was incredible and the wings were the best I have ever had! We will be back to sample the entire menu!
Wonderful little cafe. Breakfast was totally amazing. Very cool full breakfast inside a bread!
They were very helpful and catered for my 6-year-old even though they have no menu for him. ( They did half price, half full breakfast for him) the coffee was also of good!

Got the rosemary and garlic fries with the buffalo cauliflower, was genuinely amazing food!!

Looking for a place that served good vegan and non vegan food, I stumbled across this place. There was enough variety of things for vegans without the generic sweet potato or veggie burger options. My vegan friends chose an avocado mushroom burrito and a vegan mezze platter. Other dishes ordered were buttermilk chicken burger, Gnocchi, and cauliflower bites. Everything had amazing flavour and presented well, bar well varied and good service also dog friendly. The only thing was that the chicken was a little burnt, but other than that, a great experience for brunch
Such Fabulous food, very fresh and tasty. We had the kofta wraps and chicken strips. Delicious. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere.
There seems to be a proliferation of this type of café opening up within Manchester, I've been to around a dozen of them so far. Breakfast was not disappointing; in fact they have made the best pot of tea I've had to date. The breakfast was not what I expected but I ate the lot anyway. There is seating for over 23 people in a warm and cozy, music filled envelope of quirkyness.

Second visit today, Sunday 20th October 2019. Nothing disappointing whatsoever. Four stars today and I'm sure I could give five star after several more visits.
To be fair I only visited a few bars this trip but this was by far my favourite.
Busy yet quiet, helpful and friendly staff and a fantastic selection of draft and bottled beers.

2018 review: Lovely atmosphere and good music playing. I highly recommend this coffee shop.
2022 review: Came back, was really looking forward to it but I ended up disappointed. The service has steeply decreased; the food was tasty but the poached eggs were too runny and it only came enough spinach to barely cover one slice of bread. The mushrooms arrived slightly cold to the table too...
I have ordered a hot chocolate that was extremely hot and too chocolaty. I politely called the waitress and asked to swap my runny eggs for the missing spinach and also asked for a drinkable hot chocolate. The 2nd hot chocolate was much better, you have probably been wasting hot chocolate the way it that was served to me....
The waitress' attitude when I was asking to replace my poached eggs and hot chocolate wasn't the best, the waitress kept talking over me, excusing herself and not giving me the opportunity to talk; I had to shut up, look into her eyes and listen to her so she would stop talking.
After I walked in 2 more tables walked in and I ended up being the last person to take the order from. I waited, hoping for the same amazing service I was used to in 2018 but it didn't happen.
I'm really disappointed how it turned out to be, but hopeful that real feedback will improve the served standards.

Such lovely staff and delicious, good quality food that doesnt break the bank. Has such a nice feel to it, and the place is always quite busy with an exciting hum in the air! They have got an amazing selection of ales and stouts, I'm never disappointed when I go for atmosphere and variety :)
Love this place, one of the few places on Burton road with more than one token craft beer. Only trouble is it’s quite small so you have to pick your times!
