Some of the best Chinese food that I have tasted - and I lived in Malaysia for several years, so I have eaten plenty!
My first time and won't be the last..very busy place. Mountains of very tasty food constantly appearing especially on Dim Sum trollies, loved the authenticity of it all...you won't be pampered but you certainly will be fed!!
Best Chinese Food in Region
Came with Chinese family. Usually come for dim sum, which is excellent, but had dinner from main menu this time. Great quality food, especially flavour of fish with ginger and spring onions. Restaurant is not glamorous, don’t come for the decor which is tired and dated. It is busy most of the time, with many Chinese families. Consensus round table is that this is the best Chinese food in region.
Dim sum on a Sunday afternoon at its best. If you've ever been bamboozled by what to order or how a dim sum looks then pop in on a weekend. You'll see trolley after trolley filled full of wonderful delights being paraded around the restaurant. Just be prepared to wait for a table but good things come to those who wait!
A very good place to have dim sum and lunch. Prices are among the lowest for Manchester Chinese restaurant. Good value for money if you really like Cantonese or Chinese style food. Ample parking spaces for car and free parking.
Already been here for at least four times recently as I reckoned, had a great time with my family and friends, we really enjoyed the brilliant food and nice service here at Glamorous Chinese Restaurant. Much appreciate the great variety of authentic Chinese Dim Sum and traditional dishes, love the taste and nice portion, like the food overall so far, as we've tried quite a lot from the menu, from fried custard buns, prawn and vegetables dumplings, roast pork buns, siu long bao, steamed beef balls, siu mai, Chiu Chow style dumplings, steamed pork ribs with rice rolls!!
Glamourous is a unique experience. I have been coming here regularly for the last 6 years; I even threw my 27th birthday party here! Their dishes vary in presentation depending on the chef, but one thing always remains certain; their food is DELICIOUS. Stick to Cantonese cuisine & you can't go wrong with ordering. Highlights over the years include the 3 meats, pi pa tofu, won ton soup, seafood crispy noodles & all dim sum items.
Very nice Chinese food. 10% service charge is always added on the bill. You can tip may be a little.
The food is always amazing here, we come regularly and often have the banquet menu. The staff are very attentive but not the most welcoming, they will often serve people they prefer leaving others waiting, allowing some to queue jump etc. the service lets the food down, the place could also do with a refurb as it appears to be dated.
Been here many times clean and delicious foods, a suitable place for big family dinner. Everything is fresh and hot not a single mistake all the foods is amazing! The decoration inside is quite fancy the big chandelier in the middle is so pretty and inside is quite spacious and of course there's toilet which are quite clean. The restaurant have plenty of parking space with a roof on top so no worry if it rain or too sunny. Overall this place is amazing the foods, the accessibility and amazing price!
The salt and pepper Wings were a delightful surprise! The perfect balance of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The seasoning was just right, not too salty, with a lovely peppery kick. I couldn't stop reaching for more. Definitely a must-try if you're a wing lover!
Visited here many times. The service is always spot on and the staff friendly and helpful. Food portions always good. Drinks are pretty expensive though, especially a pint of coke. Inside is a little dated and siting on the chairs to the table level is a little, well, short 😂 but all in all I would recommend this place.
Absolutely delicious yum cha! Booked a table here based on a recommendation that it served some of the best yum cha in Manchester.
Ordering via menu was a little different from what I'm used to, but I suspect this was due to COVID-safe measures to reduce staff having to come into contact with every customer, but also meant that food wastage is kept to a minimum.
We were very impressed with the selection, texture and taste of all the dishes we ordered; portions were generous and we left absolutely stuffed (a good thing).
OK to decent Chinese restaurant. They serve dim sum everyday, it's a little dated inside, the food varies depending on the dish but the portions are generous. There's plenty of parking, it's a little awkward to get to without a car, though it's close to the city centre, so you can take a bus. Service is brisk, they have English menus, and 'local' menus which are in Chinese and serve Chinese specialties. It's also very large so you should always be able to get a table, though it might be busy on Sunday lunchtimes.
