Great little pub. Well looked after beer, hilarious landlady and entertaining locals!
Have loads of fun events on too.
Ended up here tonight after being stranded nearby, everyone was really friendly and kind and the whole place had a warm and inviting atmosphere, will definitely be back at some point :)
Brilliant atmosphere, made to feel very welcome by Lisa, Dave and all the regulars. Nothing worse than stepping into a pub and been stared at by everyone because your not a local. Proper down to earth pub that's well worth a visit πππππ

Very pleasant traditional local pub.
I must admit, I took my family here with pretty low expectations of the food. However, we wanted to eat somewhere close by, and we thought we would give it a shot.
What a turn up for the books! The food was fantastic, and all of us were thoroughly impressed. A word of warning, if you don't like big portion sizes, this isn't a place for you. However, I'm a fatty, so it's perfect.
Excellent local pub - and very reasonably priced too. We'll be back!

Real community feel to the place, frequented by some of the nicest and most genuine people you could wish to meet.

Great local. A proper pub. Two or three Lees ales on handpump in good condition. The homemade pies come highly recommended though i havent tried them yet but i will. Friendly landlord, staff and locals. If you live close this should be your local.
Great pub, nice staff, food was really good. Dog friendly. Next time we are in town we will go here again.
