Bookery Cafe

Just as cute as it sounds! The selection for each genre is certainly limited compared to larger chain stores, or even libraries in larger cities/towns, but I believe there is something to be said for the selection being deliberate. There was a definite balance of classics, modern hits, and what seemed to be the curator's choice of most promising new release. I personally picked my purchase from the shelf of staff recommendations (each had a blurb of what made the book particularly exciting to that staff member) and it was definitely the right move! I am LOVING The Blacktongue Thief! I snagged a tasty latte from the cafe at the back of the store and took a seat by the big windows at the front to start my book. A very pleasant way to start an afternoon. The parking situation is the same as the rest of businesses on the strip, which is to say metered out front and on immediate side streets during standard business hours, and often a bit busy and at times stressful, but nothing unmanageable.

I stopped in to Bookery for the first time yesterday during the taco tour. I had NO idea a new bookshop opened! It is beautiful!! I was just there for a quick visit, but I absolutely loved it. The layout was great, the selection of books and bookish items was lovely, and the staff was so kind. I can't wait to stop in again!

I LOVE independent bookstores! Even with a smaller selection, they always manage to have more interesting things, and this place was no exception! Two D&D puzzles, two Harry Potter pencil bags, a Mandolorian T-shirt and two books later (plus some coffee), we were happy campers! Thanks for an awesome experience!
