Superb venue, friendly owner/ curator, lovely beer from one of the first craft beer venues in Nelson. 5 mins from Tahunanui Beach. Visit them before they close sometime in March 2019. Sad the institution is going.

Lovely staff, good beers, games to play. But a really funny smell like paint or glue so we had to sit outside but staff were really helpful and made us comfortable

Awesome Art Deco atmosphere and very cosy , we were the only women there and didn't feel out of place .
Games available while you relax. ... cards , connect 4, jenga and dominoes, outside food can be brought in from approved places , check with barman. I'd definitely visit again when back in Nelson.

Great to see another free house open in Nelson with a really good selection of quality local beers. Very friendly staff, who seemed more than happy to go out of their way to arrange food from the local eateries - pizza, thai or fish & chips. Decent regional wines on offer too - plenty to keep everyone in the group happy while you sample the brews. Art deco styling adds an interesting character to the place, although a little sparse for my liking. Will only get better with time - make sure to support them!
