Very enjoyable breakfast! Eggs were done perfectly and the potato fry was delicious. We had the Taste of the South Benny and the Spanish Hash. The marble rye for our son's Toast and Jam was tasty!

Good food but I feel unsafe returning. Server raised voice at me. I try to be extra respectful with restaurant workers due to the pandemic and added stress for them. I took my time reading the instructions on the door which requested one person per group enter to ask if a table was available. I walked in and asked the server if there was availability for two. She, without looking up from the POS machine mumbled something I did not hear tho i think she might have said “Give me a minute”. I’m hard of hearing so I said “Pardon me” to which she slammed down the menus in her hand and said “You are going to need to wait patiently until I’m done with this” in the most condescending tone. I understand she was trying to focus on ringing in the order before she forgot maybe because she didn’t write it down but I felt this was a really awful way to greet a guest. A simple “I’ll be with you in a moment” would have been enough to shut me up. The service the rest of the meal was very cold and despite there only being two tables she told us we were going to have to wait a while for food because of “all the orders” as if she was trying to get us to decide not to stay. She could have been having an off day so I still left a good tip but I won’t be returning to my favourite breakfast spot in Nelson any time soon where servers snap at you for trying to follow covid precautions. I was just about in tears when I left.

Our breakfast was good and the coffee was full of flavour. The server was very rushed and she appeared to be all alone. Someone arrived on the scene and looked like he was trying to assist her, but this person disappeared and that left her alone again. All in all, she did a good job We would go again, if ever in Nelson

Not a great first impression of how business is done in Nelson. I called in for me and my celiac husband to see if they had gluten free options available so we could quickly grab something before we head to our air bnb for the night.. the woman who answered the phone was completely arrogant and rude. Explaining that “sure she has gluten free options but we close here soon” meanwhile it’s 2:06 and google says they’re open until 2:30.. so I asked oh okay are you closing early or still at 2.30? She said if you don’t get her in five minutes I won’t take you. WOW. We weee literally a minute away but are obviously taking our business elsewhere. As a fellow restaurant owner I am honestly appalled at how that just went down. The pandemic hasn’t been to nice to the service industry so I get it, we’re all on edge. But learn to be more respectful to your customers or you simply won’t have any for very long. We were SO excited when we seen they offered some GF items but wanted to call and double check because google isn’t always right. BOY are we glad we didn’t waste our money on a business that clearly doesn’t like having customers. Unreal.

The food is really tasty, and is all freshly made. Good variety of meals. Drop coffee is good, and espresso is also available. Nice view of downtown Nelson. Service is a bit slow... had to ask a couple times for a coffee refill. Otherwise waitresses are courteous and kind.

Simply put, the service, freshness, flavour, and value are outstanding! This is a wonderful little cafe, and we had a marvelous and delicious gormet breakfast there on our last day of three in town. I only wish we had discovered it sooner! We tried to talk them into moving to Vernon, but I don't think that's going to work, so we'll just have to return as soon as we can!

We came early and missed the long line-up so were happy. Service and food were all great. Really casual spot and right outside the entrance there was an artist selling his work and we bought a few illustrated cards from him. Overall really enjoyed it. I had their veggie tofu scramble. Love how a lot of restaurants in Nelson are vegetarian/vegan friendly.

Ranchero breakfast tacos for the win. At first we didn't see this spot but we got in from the middle entrance. Food was amazing and the tea was spectacular.
