Oso Negro

Great energy in Oso Negro’s cafe. Steadily busy and lively. Great coffee and consistently high quality beans. Food is good too! Had the kale/edamame salad, and a sweet pickle baguette; both were delicious. Second visit I had the sweet potato patty - also great! Highly recommend stopping here for your morning coffee and snack.

I wanted to love this place so much. It is so cute and seems to be so so popular. Unfortunately the coffee/cappuccino was some of the worst we’ve ever had…the coffee was incredibly weak and the milk and foam honestly horrendous…sorry to say this, but the girls behind the counter were super friendly but knew literally nothing about coffee. Anyways, if you’re looking for a beautiful little spot, definitely check it out. If you’re looking to enjoy a great coffee, skip…there are so many other great coffee shops in Nelson.

One of my favourite coffee shops, not only for the coffee but also for the vibes! The outdoor patio and sitting area is the things that dreams are made of. Every time I come to Nelson I stop in here. They definitely use a darker roast of coffee for their cold brew, but was a good treat! Would highly recommend stopping in here!

Really wonderful coffee and ambience - the place itself is very serene and inviting. They had really nice options for desserts, I had the vegan raspberry bar and it was delicious! I really appreciate the variety for people with different allergies. My only issue was the customer service, I was here several times during my stay and the staff were really unfriendly. I kept coming back because the drinks were great but it would have been a bit better of an experience with happy people to talk to! I do recommend the place though, and can understand if it was maybe just a few off days I experienced.
