Wait's on Nelson was awesome. The waiter we had by the name of Tom was courteous, served us quickly and was knowledgeable with the menu. He ran the diner as if he owned it! Worker's like him are hard to find and I totally recommend the diner if you're ever in Nelson! Quality food, quality service from Tom, what more do you want!

Friendly local dinner with fabulous food and great menu. We stumbled upon this place very close to closing time and very hungry but they were lovely and welcoming, and we werent rushed out. Can't wait to go back to try the pancakes! Very tasty! Thanks!

Great little restaurant! For people that love old school, simple, fresh and honest food. The decor is very retro 50s-70s diner vibes, old glass bottles on shelves, checkerboard painted walls, vinyl records and various local artwork. If that's not your thing then don't judge a book by its cover either.
The menu is fairly simple, breakfast in all its forms, a variety of sandwichs, burgers, hot dogs, sides, and rotating soup daily. Everything is obviously cooked to order and made with fresh in house ingredients. You can just tell, and its delicious! Nothing fancy, nothing finicky or overtop, just simplicity at its best.
Definitely highly recommended! If I lived in the area I would go all the time. The only small downside is there is no AC inside, so it can get a little warm.

I will never go back here. The reason? The menu prices are not correct as you find out when you go to pay. On the cover page if the menu in small print they say prices may be subject to change... but who looks at the cover page of a menu! The prices for the quality and quantity were already seeming a bit high, but after the increase at the till which was around $1.50 more then the menu it became an absolute ripoff. The Ruben was mostly sauerkraut with not much corned beef and didn't even come with the usual thousand island style sauce but either yellow or Dijon mustard. The service was also terrible with the waitress only coming by once to take the order. Nelson has much better to offer elsewhere want a quick lunch bite that's good go try Finley's bar and grill or any of the other restaurants on Baker Street.

The "Wait" was very long but somewhat understandable for a Saturday in Nelson. Our server was excellent, the food was ok. The real issue was the very unhappy woman who took our money. So bad that we probably won't return.

The servers are amazing, the food is classic and the price can't be beat! Miss the old location, but they've done so well at making Waits on Nelson feel like home.

Fifties diner type feel. Even better than the previous location. Will always be stopping at waits whenever I come through town
