I wish I'd known about this place sooner.
Service is excellent, the food was amazing and of course there's the whole Thai themed experience.
The thing most apparent to me was the level of customer service. It was 1st class. I felt like their only customer. It wasn't oppressive, the staff weren't on me the very second I'd set my cutlery down, but they were aware and ready for when I needed them.
The food was amazing, served quickly and tasted fantastic. The kitchen is all open so you can see what's going on. The waiting staff were really helpful in explaining the menu, and checked in a few mouthfuls in, to see if I was OK.
And then of course, you've got the venue. I'm a bit cynical of the whole, "get some pallets for people to sit on and call it street food" thing, but this isn't like that. This is a full on Thailand themed restaurant. They have everything, including the front of a bus. I've never been anywhere like it!
But as I say, for me, the venue is a nice-to-have, it makes it fun and I'd love to bring my family, but it's the basics that are important to me:
Cleanliness, food, and service, which were all impeccable.

The is one of the most authentic Thai restaurant I have ever tried coming moving to the UK. Coming from an Asian who has always had Thai cuisine, the food makes me feel like I’m back in Thailand eating! Everything that we ordered hit every spot! Plus the whole decoration from the seating to the lighting is beautiful. I will definitely recommend everyone to come and give Zaap Thai Street a go.

Superb! Really authentic Thai food, great menu, lots of choice and you can ask for it as hot as you like!! Will go again definitely!

Incredibly quirky atmosphere, lots of well planned decor to look at and enjoy. Food was lovely and the cocktails were well presented. Overall a great semi casual fun spot for a meal out, some really good tuk tuk shaped booths too!

Everytime I’ve been there the food has been amazingg. The service is verryyyy quick. I will say that the food isn’t as spicy as I thought it was going to be (but you can add extra spice if you want as there’s some chilli flakes and stuff in the restaurant) but tbh my spice tolerance is a bit messed up hahaha.
I go everytime I visit Newcastle and I recommend it to all my friends. Definitely worth a visit

Lovely place. The food is fantastic but quite small for the price. The atmosphere was great, it really felt like a street food place. Service a little slow but they were busy. All the dishes were tasty and cooked well. I would definitely recommend this for something a little different.

This place is just amazing. Food is absolutely gorgeous. Every dish hit the mark 👌🏼 The decor is also really vibrant and fun. Prices are also reasonable. Also free WiFi login advertised. Great range of dishes veg and non-veg. Spice levels are good, but milder options also available. Oh forgot to mention the flavoured bubble teas 😍
You have to go, I'm telling you guys.

In Newcastle for an overnight stay and didn't fancy the hotel offering, so went for a short walk to Chinatown. Zapp is very much Thai Street food and it's great. First off they serve Leo which is my favourite Thai beer, but they also have Singa in draft. The service was great and very quick as you would expect with street food. Friendly staff are able to help if you need any with the menu and how spicy things are, but a guide is on the menu. I stayed away from 3 chilli dishes.
Now the food is amazingly full of flavour and just what I needed after a day of travelling up north. Well worth a visit if you are in Newcastle. The pork was crispy with a juicy soft inside and was just delicious. Reasonable prices for the centre of a large city. Now to try this dish in Bangkok to see how it compares!

Lovely food with a large selection to choose from. The portion size was good and matched the price. I had a vegetarian chicken substitute in my curry and it was very delicious and had a good texture. My boyfriend tried a piece and said it was similar to chicken. The pancake pudding was incredible! Service was great and food was quick, however they did check in quite frequently.

Delicious food at affordable prices, over 100 different dishes. Craft beer is very tasty and light. The ambience and design is made in the form of a Thai street, so it's hard to imagine that you are indoors. Very nice and cozy. The waiters are polite and know the menu well, so they can suggest any of your preferences.

One of the best Thai restaurants in North East … The food is super authentic and you can order proper Thai spicy 🌶️ level if you love their original Thai flavours … 😋
Highly recommended!!!

I really enjoyed the Newcastle restaurant after previously dining in the headingley restaurant. Big menu to chose from but not in a bag way. Food served promptly and very nice. Would like to see a draught beer alongside the cans on offer. Staff were excellent and couldn’t fault. A definite go to for the next time in Newcastle.

This place is just perfect! Service was incredible! Food was so delicious and served quickly. Staff very friendly. I was so glad to find gluten free menu as I am gluten intolerant. Thank you so much!

Second time here, excellent service/ food and atmosphere. My daughter slipped off her seat and spilled her drink (her own mistake) they quickly attended to the spill without needing to get their attention and brought out a replacement no questions asked. We must have been the family anywhere would be pleased to see leave but they remained polite, bubbly and attentive throughout.

Really nice place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great modern deco. Actually tuc tuc where you can sit and eat your meal, Loved it. Had a front of a bus in the restaurant which is made to look like bus station. Have to come see for yourself.Had lovely clean tidy restaurant and toilets were lovely and clean also. They had a funny sign in the toilet which I took picture of and will include. They had accessible toilets but unfortunately no accessible entrance for wheelchair users. The meals are beautiful, filling and reasonably priced.
The restaurant is close to the gate and right opposite Eldon square shopping centre, where you can either use local bus service or a choice of 3 metro stations, all of which are close by or you can even drive to town and park up. Newcastle has lots of pubs and restaurants and also offers over night stay.
Would I go back, way aye man😏I have already recommended to my friends and family 😌X

Wow!!! Even they are a chain, but their food taste delicious and authentic with many choices of Thai street food. Cool decorations. Feel like in Thailand. Wish they have branches in Europe as well.

I wanted to go somewhere a bit different w my partner. This place came up on google and it was most definitely the right choice. It was a fun vibrant atmosphere.. the menu had over 80 items on it and another menu for drinks.. the food really was incredible and it was fast service. Where else can you go sit in a tuk tuk for dinner in the UK? :-) on my last visot I had the pad thai with chicken and the prawn steamed dumplings. Both dishes were very tasty. Highly recommend this place. Well be back here.
