Amazing. Very tasty food; great service; very pleasant surroundings. Supberb location around half way down Grey Street: very close to the Metro (Monument station especially), National Rail, buses, SJP, shopping areas, theatres, the Metro Arena, and lots of good pubs/bars. The menu is *very* extensive, and that relates to all courses. Genuinely fab food. Great wine list, and decent draft beer (specifically, Kingfisher and Cobra - though if you really must, there are other bottles/cans). In short: a great wee joint which is sadly underrated but hugely recommended.
Probably the City Central curry house I have visited the most. Located on the mega Grey Street, it's been around for quite some time.
It's good for quick take out or group sit in feasts (I've been in with a fairly boisterous stag party as well as many more sober, small group visits).
Maybe a tad old school looking and due a refurbishment, but it's still decent enough. The grub hasn't let me down in any way colonically, financially or gastronomically too which is always a bonus I feel.
This is the best Indian restaurant you'll find in Newcastle. The waiters helped us order a brilliant meal showing great knowledge of the menu. The food itself was outstanding and reasonably priced, even more so for Grey Street. I've consequently been back several more time with groups and am yet to be disappointed!
Great food and friendly staff and very reasonable prices, we had read some reviews saying the staff were not friendly, we could not fault them, well worth a visit.

On of the oldest and best indian restaurants in Newcastle food was fabulous and same owner still there from as long as I can remember perfect service every time
