Gorgeous grubs at Goose grazing ground. The service, standard of quality and lashings of Stella I received at one The Goose pub by Stonehouse was by far superior to that of any Wetherspoons or Country pub I have ever been too. The smiling staff, the charming setting and the beautiful carvery I ate in almost a gust of breath was amazing. I couldn’t help myself but try the dessert menu and I was obviously thrilled. I would have bought another potion if I wasn’t so full already. Thank you too all the staff for a delightful day out with the kids in my family. ( great kids menu as well! Who can argue with bottomless ice cream )

Love the new meal deals a pizza and a drink on Mondays or a burger nd a drink on Thursday for £7.99. Then if theres 2 of you 2 pizzas nd a bottle of wine for £15 or prosseco for £20 are amazing is value for money plus the service is always fantastic. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend the Goose to all my friends and family.

Usually go there for lunch once a week. Usually stuck to pizza as not impressed with the lunch that they serve. Vegetables I find inedible. You can tell the the carrots are cooked from frozen so taste and texture not very nice. Think the same could be said for the other veg. If I have a dinner for a change from pizza I now only have potatoes,Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Quite a few people bring their small children in which is ok but if your looking for a relaxing place to eat without screaming kids best to avoid. Some of the furniture needs replaced. This is just my view as it can get quite busy during the day and I would still go regardless of my my comments above as it's handy to pop in for lunch then pop into Eldon square to shop.

My favourite pub in Newcastle since i was student back in 2003. Very big pub with lots of screens to watch sports. Is located in the city centre next to the shops. Sunday roast is amazing and definitely recommended. There is a big variety of beers and ales you can enjoy.

After a day visiting Newcastle we stopped here for tea after booking online. Some of the group ordered the carvery, that was ok except some of the veg looked like it had sat there all day and had gone dry but the meat was tasty as were the potatoes. Some of the group ordered off the main menu and these we nice and cooked fresh. The desserts were very nice. Apart from the dried out veg we had a nice meal and the staff were very good.

Chef was more than courteous when serving and personally checking I was satisfied with my meal. The BBQ chicken burger was fantastic and the sauce inside was delicious, also, the portion was rather generous without going overboard. Wine was good, it accompanied the food very well. Highly recommend to any passer by wanting a quality meal, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. A special mention to Reece Brown, notably valuable staff member and chef, the company should be proud to have such an outstanding worker.

Dave the not so Rave serving the food was incredible with my son - he is currently in a cast. Helped him with his ice cream which was a blessing as we had a newborn with us too. Carvery food on par. Nothing to scream home about. Probably suggest trying to not have lumpy mash🤣 apart from that was okay.

Food was lovely, had the 3 course, starter was lovely, had the carvery which was very nice, quite a bit wait in the queue but luckily got fresh veg as most tubs were empty so got the fresh tub, meat lovely, veg and gravy lovely, wanted sticky toffee pudding but never had any so got brownie instead, was nice . Never waited long for service, still quite few people in, created a bar tab and paid at the end which was easy , staff very helpful and friendly, definitely go back, don't get to Newcastle often but always go here for food.

Excellent service by Shiv. We had a large party of 37 people on a home match day and they managed to accomodate us. Shiv went out of her way to make it a complete success for the surprise 70th Birthday. Food was fantastic and good service, although busy, ordered on the app and no delays. Thanks for a great experience, when we are back up in Newcastle will definitely be popping into here again
