It was our first time to get a take away from Kala sheep. It was just so delicious!!! My dish was Lamb biriyani came with mild veg curry. The flavour was perfect. The lamb was nicely soft too. I’m glad that we have this lovely Indian place in Newmarket. The restaurant people were really sweet as well. We definitely will return.

Ordered from here for the first time and all I can say is how have we missed this fantastic curry place. Have been using another place not far from here and I have to say The Kala Sheep is way out in front. The food quality is excellent and arrived in good time and hot. Portion sizes are good as well. I can't wait for them to open their dine in option as we will be frequent visitors.
I know I'm not the easiest customer to please as I have high standards when it comes to food and let me tell you these food jusssttt hit the spot!! It's heavenly.. Tandoori chicken melts in mouth, prawn dishes are so juicy and cooked perfectly. I have have had tweaked one of the orders and let me tell you now.. Chef got it just the way I like it but so much better than I thought. I'm surprised he understood so well when I couldn't even tell what spices to mix but describing the sauce. Lamb is so soft and tender. Goodness I've missed good food Brilliant customer service. Highly recommend.. Didn't disappoint!!!

This is hands down the best Indian takeaway I've had in Suffolk. Seamless delivery to my awkward house, absolutely delicious food. My meal wasn't at all oily and tasted fresh. I can't recommend Kala Sheep highly enough!
Live next door to this restaurant and made great acquaintances with the workers and owners, mostly from taking my two American bullies to the toilet I have lovely chats with them. For the first time I placed a collection order, I got chicken Korma, coconut rice, and garlic nann. It was all fantastic, you can really tell it’s homemade with the deep organic flavours, the sweet melody of the korma and fluffy coconut rice was amazing. Chicken is tender and pieces are ample. The nann was especially nice. So good I just placed a second order for tonight’s dinner in a row!
Best Indian takeaway we've found delivering in the Newmarket area. Apparently they have plans to open a restaurant later, so we'll definitely check that out!
Food tastes great, portion sizes good.
Questionable pricing on some items (£1 for Chutney, £3.25 for naan) but overall price fine with discounts on orders over £40 if ordered directly rather than through third party service.
Highly recommended, just be mindful of pricing on smaller orders that don't hit discount threshold.
Best Indian takeaway we've had since moving to Newmarket, by far. Lovely woman on the phone, chef is great at making dishes to dietary requirements. Plant based Tikka masala was delicious. Will recommend to anyone 👏
