Cracker Barrel

6/05/22 Enjoyed a late lunch today enroute to Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Our server Patience was a lovely young woman who made sure we had everything we wanted. We also enjoyed meeting David who welcomed us here and made us feel at home on our visit. I had a really good vegetable plate with cornbread. Cracker Barrel has delicious pinto beans & turnip greens with chow chow relish and sweet onio, fried okra and macaroni cheese rounded my lunch. My friend Mary enjoyed scrambled eggs with sawmill gravy and biscuits. We tried the watermelon lemonade and liked it so much we hot a half gallon to take with us our cabin rental. We really love this Cracker Barrel location!

Wonderful experience. Short line but we were seated and placed our order in minutes. Food was out quick. We had the lunch special baked sweet potato and salad. Our waitress Megan was amazing. She was friendly and went above and beyond with her service and smile. The general manager stopped and talked to us too!!! Great food at a reasonable price.

Disappointed with the chicken tenders. They were not crispy, they were like rubber, so unlike Cracker Barrel. But the salad was excellent the macaroni and cheese was great I tried the latte it was yummy. They had a sale on their bags, which are 3 for $5. So I purchase six to use as grocery bags. Overall the service was good, it was crowded but we had fast service. The only thing I had to say was the chicken tenders were not crispy. This is a very consistent good home cooked restaurant. I definitely will be going back but will let them know to make sure that the chicken tenders are crispy. Was on a road trip back from South Carolina to Indiana so was in a hurry, other words I'm sure they would have made them to my liking.

You can never go wrong at any of these throughout the USA. They always have such nice southern hospitality folk. The food is good, just how mama cooks it. Only thing that was disappointed in was the portion I got of country ham was one tiny slice haha. But all in all this is a good place to eat and affordable and a good atmosphere!

Wait time was 40 minutes. After we were seated, they took our order within 10 minutes. The waitress brought us someone else's food. We should have ate that because we waited over 50 minutes to get our food. The food was good except for my grandson's scrambled eggs. They were under cooked. Our quick meal turned into over 2 hours.

Got exactly what I ordered. The country fried steak was the best I've had from Newport Cracker Barrel. Not at all greasy and gravy on side was also good. I ordered Soup (pinto) beans. I asked for more soup and less bean. My wonderful waitress was spot on!! I got a bowl of basically just soup and a bowl of beans. Cornbread was great. Outside brown and crisp, inside hot and texture was perfect inside. Only a little disappointed in hash brown casserole. IMO I felt it should've be baked just a bit longer.

Just like every other cracker barrel, I had the same consistent experience I have come to love about the brand. We visited twice once we did carside and another time we ate in and both were delightful. David is a wonderful addition to the team. I did not know this until I came to this location but in the south they serve mimosas!
