The Grease Rack

A local resident recommended this restaurant to us on our way home from Savannah to the state of Michigan. The staff was friendly and welcoming even though it was close to the end of their day. The food was delicious. Great portions. The peanut butter pie surpasses a well known restaurant in Savannah. Our waitress, Erica, was friendly and attentive with a huge smile on her face. Buddy the owner even stopped to talk with us.

We were recommended here from a local...we would not need to come back. The food was mediocre at best, the steak had no flavor and nothing except what was fried was very hot. Throwing a piece of white American cheese on top of french onion soup is something I have never encountered and is not appetizing in the slightest. The food came out in stages so if you were hoping to eat a meal together you can forget about it. We were very disappointed to walk away less then satisfied for an expensive meal that only left us hungry.

The Grease Rack is one of my favorite places to eat. I sometimes get takeout, and sometimes eat in. The service is friendly, and the food can't be beat. They have excellent steaks and burgers. It's in a former car shop, and doesn't look like a restaurant, but the food is what counts, and it's top notch.

My husband and I had a truly enjoyable meal at The Grease Rack last weekend. The Grease Rack offers great food, Southern hospitality and is family friendly. We had filets which were cooked to perfection. Soup and salad are included in addition to a side and bread. There is no way to leave hungry!
