The batter on haddock and shrimp was perfectly light and crispy. They offer special sides like butternut squash, and pickled beets or up-charge sides like fried pickles or mushrooms . Portions are generous and reasonably priced. Be sure to leave room for dessert! Grapenut pudding, chocolate creme pie and coconut cream pie are all made from scratch and were excellent. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Tootsie was one of the friendliest and sweetest waitresses i’ve ever had. Amazing staff overall and some of the best chicken tenders i’ve ever had (says a lot coming from me!). I ordered the tenders “reverse” style as recommended by Tootsie and they batter was light and crispy and the meat was so juicy. I’m not from this area but it’s things like these that make me want to come back. The photo is only my leftovers, they gave us so much food for the price.

Angie did a fantastic job. tomorrow she celebrates 16 years of commitment to her customers at this restaurant. Prompt service with a smile despite the current challenges in the restaurant biz. If i was her boss I'd send her on a vacation(maybe The Florida Keys?) as a thank you for what she brings to the company.And the food is excellent especially at this price point. Great place.

When in Maine visiting family we had a large group of 10+... the staff was very friendly and accommodated us. The waitress was extremely friendly and patient since there were multiple seperate checks. She kept our drinks full, and our food was ready really quick. My lobster roll was delicious, and my husband and son enjoyed the steamed clams and clam strips. (Picture of my lobster roll) Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch between Bar Harbor and Boston. This place was quintessential Maine. Classic seafood offerings, must-try specials board, and some delicious looking desserts. We were traveling with 3 kids and had to skip the sweet stuff, but I saw few plates that looked very generous come out of the kitchen. We did have a sweet & spicy shrimp special, fish & chips, kids fish sticks, and mac & cheese. We devoured everything. The batter was light and perfectly crispy. Most of all, we loved our server, Lauren. She was so patient and thoughtful with our children. You never know what to expect traveling with twins, but they were fearless and friendly at Angler's. Thanks again Lauren!
