This property has limited opening to the public but it is well worth searching out for when the days are. You may well have unknowingly seen the house in such tv shows as peaky blinders and coronation Street. The house is still lived in by the family and so no internal photos are allowed. There are guides in most room , all of which are friendly and knowledgeable. The house is beautiful as are the gardens , though there was heavy rain when we went to look. There is a cafe , shop , childrens playground and a garden nursery on site. Historic house members get free entry. One word of warning the long road in is particularly uneven in the early part. Def worth a day out at.

Fabulous gardens. The herbaceous borders are stunning. Lots of different gardens which are all well looked after. The cafe was good too with delicious meals( salads, quiches, jacket potatoes, soups, sandwiches and a few main meal options) plus yummy cakes.

Ĺovely day spent wandering around the beautiful grounds. We couldn't visit the house because there was a wedding on althoihh they had someone playing music outdoors and we enjoyed that. Reasonably priced food in the restaurant and a lovely courtyard with plenty of seating.

The hall was closed on the day of our visit but the gardens are beautifully maintained and full of colour. The chapel was also worth a visit. Lots of seating strategically placed in each garden to enable you to sit a while and just enjoy the sights and sounds

Brilliant place to visit. Both the gardens and the house are stunning. The house, used for many a film set, including Peaky Blinders, was beautiful, and staff are very friendly and informative. Luckily the house was open when we visited, it isn't always, so check before you visit. Photographs prohibited in the house unless in the film room, but outside the house was much photographed by us. The Gardens were stunning to walk around, and it was love to sit outside in the cafe and enjoy our lunch in the sunshine ... decent prices too :-). Bbq food on offer when we were there too. Beautiful place; beautiful day. Will definitely return.

Arley is a truly lovely place to visit for people of any age. The gardens are so peaceful and beautiful, particularly on a summers day. For keen gardeners, the garden shop/nursery near the entrance has plenty to tempt you! There is a play area with small zip wire, swings, a willow maze and picnic tables. There's also a short path which loops through the adjacent woodland area. The house is a smaller stately home than some, but no less impressive for this. The library is particularly impressive and has provided the scene for a number of TV dramas. The little Chapel next to the hall is worth a visit- again, very peaceful and atmospheric. The cafe has good offerings for snacks or a light lunch, there were vegetarian and vegan options too. Finally, the staff are lovely - particularly the very friendly lady on the front desk on entry to the hall - a credit to this place!

What a lovely afternoon! I took my three year old out for the afternoon and we both loved it. Firstly there was a sickening class on next to the entrance which was lovely. I stopped to enquire and they are run over a month. There were lots of flags out for the coronation too. We visited the cafe and had a freshly made sandwich. There was delicious chicken and fish options too. The play area was excellent suitable for children up to about 13. There were many walk we could have done and the walled gardens which are an extra ticket to enter. I could see gardening staff and builders on site so clearly a lot of up keep in the grounds which is excellent to see. A wonderful house and grounds up-kept to immaculate standards.

Visited the hall and gardens in late March, just as plants were waking up after winter. The gardens are extensive and include formal beds, herbaceous borders and woodland areas. The hall is Victorian and is very well maintained and decorated to a high standard. There are play areas for children and a café serving refreshments, plus a gift shop for souvenirs. Having visited many similar places in the past, Arley Hall is excellent and a good place to visit with family.
