Best fish and chip in Norwich.
Crispy crunchy moist fish. Lovely chips. Batter sausage it really tasty too. Curry sauce is little sweet but really tasty too.
The staff is really friendly too.
Service very good, only takes 35 minutes to cross the channel. Fairly quick boarding onto the train after usual checks. Very quick leaving train on arrival straight onto motorway. So much quicker than Ferries from Dover!!! Definitely can recommend.
They know how to do proper chippy grub. Always really friendly. Seems a bit pricey but all are these days and I don't suppose they can cover the rent otherwise. Plenty of staff..sometimes a bit of a wait Friday nights

Being born and raised in the East End of London, I’ve had my fair share of fish and chips. However St John’s Fish and Chips is hands down the best by far. Fresh food, incredible service, friendly staff. Highly recommend 🙌🫶✨
Superb food ! The fish is beautifully golden battered and cooked to perfection. Massive amount of chips for a regular size. Helpful friendly staff that are polite and will answer any queries regarding your order.
They have lunchtime special deals which priced at £5 are hard to beat.
Cannot fault this little chippy apart from wishing that they also offered a meat free equivalent for sausages and burgers.
Slow at cooking waited 20mins 4 fish n chips but gr8 food
Everything is put in cardboard boxes which looks nice but seems pretty wasteful. I ordered a large chips, 3 Vege burgers and chicken nuggets. The nuggets were put in with the chips (without asking if it was ok), the chips were there to be shared so non vege with vege stuff isn't ideal but we're not that strict so it was fine for us, just make sure you mention it if you're doing something similar. Vege burgers were "fine", you also need to order the bap separately or you just get a burger, so no cheese, lettuce etc on it... Chips and nuggets were good.
All in all, a pretty solid chip shop.
