Very good for the price. Students are still learning which, I think, it helps to remember when eating here. The food was delicious and very well presented.
Lovely tasty food, and very nice service, will going back again. (Korean nights)
A fantastic place to go for a very reasonably priced meal. We've visited a couple of times recently and our five-course evening meals were only £20.00 a head. Bargain! They were very good too - being a Scottish-themed Burns' Night meal and a Welsh-based St. David's Day one. As the food is cooked and served by students learning their trade there might be the odd mishap, but that shouldn't detract from a great value and very enjoyable meal.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Service is good and is provided by students so expect some learning experiences. But there food was served perfectly and a really good value for the cost. Just make sure you book a reservation ahead of time. The menu does change about monthly so be sure to check it often.
I have eaten here on many occasions. Never once been served a bad meal.
If you take into account they are all young students learning a trade and yes there will be some little niggles and the odd catastrophe. They cook and serve some wonderful food . Under the excellent supervision of their tutors they triumph and never let them down. I would and do recommend this restaurant .
Ate at one of the special takeover evenings. Food was worthy of Masterchef, priced to a good budget. Ambiance is a little open plan dining and staff in training a little hesitant but do a great job. Worth every penny when we went as a large group.
This is an excellent restaurant which functions as training experience for students learning kitchen and catering skills at Nottingham College in the Adams Building. They do lunch and evening meals a couple of times a week in which the students not only cook but also serve. The meals tend to be up to three courses, of various different focuses (vegan, Spanish, Moroccan, game, etc.) and there is also a Light Lunch of one course. There's almost always a vegetarian option. Reservation is necessary, and timed in quarter-hour phases. The portions are small (it's basically aiming at haute cuisine) but given the crazy low prices it's great value for money. Especially since it's partly about the ambiance and being part of the students' learning. It's good for groups.
We came for the takeover (Nakama) on Thursday 20th September. Absolute splendid evening, top food, good recommendations on wine, helpful staff. There was a little confusion at the beginning but the evening went extremely well. Top marks to the staff and students.
Went tonight for the vegan special night and we were super impressed! The food was fantastic!! The service was quick and the young man who served us all night was attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed 10 out of 10 will definitely be returning!
Really nice meal, well presented and cooked. Staff were attentive and well trained even though majority are still learning their skills and in training. Recommended as a place to eat.
