Enjoyable Sunday Lunch with a warm welcome, parking and a good meal . Tried to order through the App but doesn’t work properly ( can’t order one portion of pigs in blanket if you order two carveries ! And other examples ). Didn’t realise a small carvery was children’s and changed to normal size no problem .
Choice of 4 nicely cooked meats ( can have a slice of each ) , vegetables not so good with no red cabbage or broccoli and other a little over cooked . Excellent value for money and would recommend

Staff all really cheerful, pleasant and helpful, from the lady that welcomed us (sorted out the best route to our table for my mother ) , to the guy serving on the carvery (big beaming smile the whole time) to the person who bought our dog a bowl of water (unprompted). Food was excellent as always. Prices very reasonable. All in all its our go to location for informal family meals (9 of us ate yesterday all really happy with the experience).

This was the first time we've ever been to The Shepherds Stonehouse. We were very impressed and will be going back again.
We got a lovely seat in the window which was bright, though lots of the other tables seemed to be a little in the dark.
The menu is great and really good value, especially the daily special deals.
The food was a reasonable account of time for ordering to take and my wife had the carvery which she said was lovely.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the chain even accepted the blu light card discount which made it even cheaper.

Went with a friend for food at The Shepherds pub. It is a nice bar out of the way and has some good walks nearby at Cotgrave Country Park. Excellent pint of Wainwright. The food was good value for money and portion size was excellent. Burger was very well cooked and tasty. Asked for mayonnaise never got any brought out but apart from that service was good. Would return.

Such an amazing roast, and delivered to my door by deliveroo. Can't fault it. Generous portions, fresh produce, quality ingredients, cooked beautifully. 100% recommend. I even rang up and asked for no cauliflower cheese, the lad I spoke to was lively, polite and said he would get onto it right away. Amazing food and lovely staff.

The carvery is delicious here. You also get good meat portions and plenty of veg on offer

We had a late breakfast this morning so went for a treat was fabulous next time visiting grandchildren it's our place to eat in Nottingham from now on. The carvery they were setting out as we were leaving looked equally as fabulous £29 including drinks for 3 adults for a full English

Had Sunday carvery. Food was well cooked and hot. We will certainly go again. One child's burger had a hard piece of chicken in. The staff were so apologetic and offered a take away carvery.

Visited here while stopping at the nearby campsite . Went here with 4 adults and 3 children and a dog . It wasn’t busy .
Was warmly welcomed by a really friendly bar man , who took our order , double checking a few details , really efficient.
The food came fairly quickly , and we were really impressed . My chicken burger was really tasty , the kids pizza were great , and good value for money .
Would definitely recommend this pub and it’s friendly staff .

Peaceful atmosphere, fair prices, wide selection of drinks and an excellent carvery with plenty of variation. All food is kept hot which is often rare with other similar places, so kudos for that!
Definitely recommend! 👍

A Carvery with a nice range of roasts, pizzas & specials. Large indoor and outdoor accessible spaces, large car parks & all at a pretty resonable cost. A good place for family meals. It's even on the local bus route!

Food was amazing, we had a table for 8 but some of the party were late and we weren't bothered once. Carvery stunning and wow the pizzas are good. Will definitely return

Really great food. I went with my sister for a treat. We both really enjoyed it. We are going again on Monday. It will be our weekly treat.

Danielle and Will are always welcoming .
We love to get our family together and there can be a lot of us arrive. We are never rushed and it’s a great place for us all to meet, it’s one of our family high lights.

Super friendly pub who squeezed in our large party, despite being very busy last Saturday night when we were staying at the local campsite. All the team could not have been more friendly & helpful. We had a lovely evening. Thank you.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I have allergies and they spent a lit of time helping me pick.
One server even got special vegetables and gravy from the kitchen. Thank you very much you guys.
Nicely decorated too.

Went in yesterday (opening day)
Ordered a pizza for the kids
I had a beef burger (doubled up)
Wife had the chicken buttermilk burger
Parents had the buttermilk burger and a carvery
Pretty much everything is self service
You get a little pager that beeps when your food is ready, pretty cool I thought!!
Sat for ten to fifteen minutes whilst drinking a flat pint
Beeper goes off, so me and the wife stroll down to the counter to be sorted our food
Pizza looked lovely!!
Burgers looked lovely
So we proceeded to add salad and chips to our plate (or metal tray with tissue on)
And sat down to eat our dinner.
Well, this is where it got real shit
Burgers were way overcooked on outside and barely cooked on inside
My beefburger was rock solid on outside and red on inside dripping with oil (both of them)
Chips were either undercooked (pretty much raw) or overcooked (both out of same serving basket)
Salad was warm, coleslaw had no taste whatever, just like a warm wet mush.
But being me I cracked on as I was hungry and ate what I could.
So I thought ok
Dinner was shit so I thought I'd fill up on pudding
I ordered myself the bottomless ice cream and the kids the smiley custard with chocolate buttons
The self serve ice cream was what I can only describe as wet ice , I didn't eat it, I couldn't
As soon as it hit my mouth I had the worst unflavoured brainfreeze you can imagine.
As for the kids puddings
the smiley faces came out looking like a cut scene from the remake of stephen kings film
" IT " and served on a plate with a metal bowl on top with a bag of buttons that had melted to oblivion
We had planned to eat there on the Saturday as well as the Friday as we were visiting locally for a few days, but after yesterday's experience we think Mcdonalds will be a safer option
I understand that the place has just opened but it leaves me wondering if the chef can fuck up chips then the rest of it stands no chance

Wow!! Just wow!! Staff friendly and polite. I walked in hungry and angry (hangry) after being let down badly by another establishment (we won’t call it a restaurant as the food was crap) after ordering my meal as the other 3 had already eaten and desserts for the kids the manager could not have made my stay any better. He gave me a giggle completely changed my bad mood and then offered me an upgrade as he could see how upset and annoyed I was.
My food was amazing, tasty and fresh whilst eating it the puddings came out for the kids which kept them happy. We had clean plates all round. I will be returning here we wish we had come here in the first place.
May have been second choice today but will always be first choice from now on. Thank you very much. X

We went to Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery as it was convenient more than anything else as we were camping at Thorntons Holt campsite.
We really couldn't have been happier. Yes, a lot of it is self serve like other reviews have said... (but the kids loved that as they felt a little more grown up).
I had a pint of Heineken which was amazing. Frozen glass and freezing beer and as the weather has been lucky to us, it was just what the doctor ordered.
The buzzer for when your food is ready is great as you can sit and relax salivating over the smell. Once our buzzer went, we had 3 Calzones, 4 kids carvery and two Pizzas. They were all class...freshly cooked to perfection and the salad bar, chips and veg were all great.
We were greeted with a friendly face and all left extremely happy.
I've never put a review on Facebook before now but needed to as it really was ace...and so reasonably priced!!!
Loved it and have since been back for more. Well done guys. Highly recommended.

Visited today with my children have got to say I was very disappointed in the majority of the food, the meat was fine but the Yorkshire was hard and the veg was dry and roast potatoes were like rocks did say something to the manager but he didn't seem bothered
