Despite living in Oxford for 30 years, we had never ventured to Quod so decided to book a table for my wedding anniversary and I’m so glad I did. The food arrived quickly, was perfectly cooked and tasted fabulous. While we booked a table for 5.30pm, the restaurant soon became busy but at no point did we ever feel rushed. Our waitress was extremely attentive but not intrusive. She got the mix perfectly right which is often lacking at other restaurants. The perfect place to celebrate and will definitely be back.

Quod last night was a real buzzy place. We came to Oxford to meet with some friends and perfect place to have a meal. Friendly servers and food was wholesome. A very good trip for a good meal with family and friends. The scallops and prawn gratin was exceptional as was my tagliatelle with pork. Decent size portions too. The toilets were clean as well which is always a good sign.

I was in the red room. I find the main restaurant can be a little noisy, so really liked this. I had haddock risotto and sea bream. The dishes were excellent. Cooked extremely well. The risotto was creamy but not sickly. The bream skin crispy, the fish firm but not dry. I finished with Earl Gray tea. Service can be a little slow but is friendly and professional.

Food was even better. Very tasty main dishes, full of flavour and taste. Very enjoyable experience, will be going there when visiting oxford.

Great place in superb location! Excellent food and great service. Upon our arrival, we were asked whether we wanted to sit in a more central (spacious) area, or whether we preferred a table in a quieter area. As the latter didn't appeal to us because the (small) table (seemingly more suited for single guests) was next to a busy passageway for the staff, where we didn't think we could get comfortable, we opted for the former. Unfortunately, there was a large gathering at the next table, which turned out to be very noisy. Other than that, the service was great and the food absolutely delicious! I also liked the twist with the roasted bone marrow, which I have never seen before. Very central location and thus very convenient. The restaurant also sports a nice terrace, although unfortunately we didn't get to put that to the test, as the weather was too cool to eat outside. Maybe next time!

Sunday Roast is to die for. The basil daiquiri is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had and I’m not a big drinker. Luca, my waiter was so nice and had great recommendations. I originally booked a different Sunday roast spot but this place was recommended to me because of the cute outdoor area. I was supposed to sit inside but when I asked for an outdoor table they made it happen even though it was booked up. All the meat is local which I love. 10/10 would recommended.

I always enjoy the crabmeat starter. It’s definitely worth a try. Never disappoints me. My family prefers scallop gtatin though. Sicilian white was dry and deeply aromatic, a surprise.

We held our wedding reception dinner in the Quod Gallery Room and it was just perfect. The staff on the evening of the wedding were so helpful, professional, kind, and had so much attention to detail. Our guests were taken care of and so were we. The communication leading up the wedding was phenomenal. We live in America and so planning a wedding overseas was an added layer of challenge but the Event staff at Quod answered my (many) questions with professionalism and kindness. I can't thank Ivana, Maria, and Angela enough for their patience and helpfulness! The food was fantastic, the price was completely reasonable, and their service was impeccable. Thank you all so much!
