My girls held their birthdays here on Saturday night one being a 21st .They had pre arranged a buffet style meal.We had a private area for our guests the service from Speilo and his staff was superb nothing too much trouble Prossecco kept on flowing as did the food. The chef even brought out a plate of all kinds of desserts with candles on when we hadn't brought the cake!!

The food was amazing! I had the chicken roast. It was delicious. Very filling -- I'm taking some home with me for tomorrow (and the day after!) The servers were friendly and helpful. There's art on the walls that is interesting and modern, and the toilets are wonderful. Would very strongly recommend.
We had sunday roast and it was delicious. Alison served us and was very sweet and polite! Absolutelty recommending this place

Amazing pub in the city centre and fantastic food! We have been served by Nell and she is super nice and gave us a 5 stars service. Nell has an incredible memory, we were a table of 6 and took our drinks and food order without wring it down. I don’t know how she did that but our order was 100%accurate and she managed to remember everything. Highly recommend!
Nice, surroundings in heart of Oxford. Dinner was good, had to ask for condiments and no salt and pepper on tables. Alison was helpful and friendly. Cauliflower cheese could have been cheesier. Would come again
We went as a group so the service took ages, the staff were very friendly but starters were coming out before we got the drinks order, there is not a great selection on the menu if you are vegan or have a potato or yeast allergy, in fairness the food that I could eat was lovely, definitely recommend the halloumi fries. None in the group complained about the food just about the wait. There were a few issues with some dirty cutlery and cutlery missing from the table which is why I marked them down slightly, I would still recommend you try it though, oh and check out the female bathrooms whilst there, you won't be disappointed 😉
The food was incredible!! The mushy peas were amazing and the fish and chips and starters were great as well! Loved the order by phone and the toilet was incredible space as well. Food and the drinks were great but the customer service let them down. A lot of the staff really felt like they did not wanted to serve the customers and when we asked for water, we were asked to get it ourselves which was ok but it could have been said nicer. A lot of the tables were not cleaned so if this can be fixed it will be even better. The insides atmosphere is quite different to the garden outside so having some continuation will be even better. Incredible food thou!!
What a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun in the beer garden, inside is also so warm and lovely with plenty of tables. The food was really nice. There were a lot of the tables left dirty and the customers were clearing and cleaning themselves. Which was a shame to see as there seemed to be plenty of staff to manage as it was quiet inside. Other than this, our time spent here was lovely, and I would definitely recommend and revisit.
Great experience all round! Turned up early and table was already ready for us. Efficient and attentive service throughout from Alison. Food and drink was outstanding!
Lovely atmosphere very attentive and friendly staff (Jessie) and great food not your normal pub grub :)
