Went here for a Valentine's meal (the day before valentine's day) and the atmosphere was great, the lighting was bright enough that you could see easily but not too bright, the noise level was enough that the place felt alive but not loud enough that you had to raise your voice etc.
The food was beautiful, it was a good combination of unique and well known dishes. I had the mussels and my partner had the chicken cassoulet. The sauce on the mussels was incredible and the chicken had crispy skin but was perfectly moist.
The staff were great, happy and talkative and really made our night feel special, so thank you to them.
We will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the dessert! Really friendly and accomodating staff. Would definitely revisit. Also suitable for large groups.
The dining area was quite busy the evening we went and the atmosphere was welcoming. We were asked for our order reasonably promptly and the waitress was helpful with suggestions. Both our starter and main courses were served in good time and were enjoyable.
Overall a good - and simple - experience.
Very nice place to go, great selection of drinks and lovely atmosphere but that is probably it.
Food is really bad and it tastes like microwave defrost ready meal. Great to visit for drinks but wouldn’t one back for dinner.
It is obviously very newly refurbished and it looks fantastic, only what could owner improve is ventilation near front windows, those are getting every night steamed and whole business looks like sweated greenhouse.
It is not such expensive and difficult task in 21st century.
Very good selection of ales and tasty and interesting dishes. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. Outdoor seating is also available and the seats are very comfortable. Coffee and desserts are also excellent making it an ideal place to visit for any meal or to have a drink/coffee
Great selection of beer and food.
Good food with an excellent menu heavy on veg and low on meat which is a nice and modern way to create a menu. Good selection of ales, gins and tonics. Staff very helpful and managed to cope with us ordering nibbles for starters and starters for mains etc!
Top class bar and restaurant. The food was absolutely perfect, reasonably priced and the portion sizes were good. Very pleasant staff and short wait times for food. A good selection of ales,and a well crafted outdoor sitting are. Many thanks- Jack from summertown cycles
The bicycle shed is just want summer town needed. It is a nice restaurant/bar with a good selection of beer on tap and not crazy prices. The inside has been very nicely decorated and stuck with the theme through the bar. It has a nice outside area towards the front of the building, a bar area and a restaurant area and the food looks lovely (not had it yet). The staff are all super helpful as well. Only down side, it's a tiny bit down the road from the main summer town shops but the 2 minute walk is worth it.
Fantastic service in the restaurant. I ordered the B12 vegan burger! Already went back a few times because it's so good, I love it. The deserts are extremely nice too. I walk out every time thinking about when I'll go back!!
