Shiraz

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shiraz Persian Restaurant in Oxford, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant. The soft lighting and tasteful decor created a cozy and intimate atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The food at Shiraz was exceptional, with every dish bursting with authentic Persian flavors. The kebabs were tender and juicy, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The saffron rice was fragrant and fluffy The service at Shiraz was top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly. The waitstaff was prompt in taking orders and they were always available to assist with any requests or inquiries. Overall, my experience at Shiraz Persian Restaurant was nothing short of excellent. The combination of delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and attentive service made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend visiting Shiraz if you're in Oxford and craving authentic and flavorful Persian cuisine.

Highly recommended place for an authentic dinner in oxford. Very welcoming atmosphere, chef comes and greets you, give you some recommendations and take your order. Food is very tasty, portions are great, we had the mixed platter of appetizers and shared grill platter for 2-3 people, and they were more than enough for 3 people.

Service was exceptionally helpful with ordering for lactose sensitive table members. They were very kind and timed every very well. Persian tea is a must for your table. Starter items: Hummus was soooo Creamy. Pickled vegg was wonderful. Olives were amazing. Dolma was rich and comforting. Persian bread was deceiving as it does not look special visually but is extraordinary with flavor and texture. Very soft. Entree items: Meat is melt in your mouth whether chicken or lamb. Chicken here was exciting to eat and not at all bland. My table ordered rice with currants and nuts, well worth the added complexity in flavors. The bathroom is only accessible by stairs and is not kept super clean. Also, only one stall unisex for the whole restaurant. My only drawback for the restaurant.

Lovely Persian jewel situated on the Cowley Road. We ordered the platter to share (as photographed) with chicken, beef and lamb prepared with mild to moderate spices and some Padron peppers and salad. We were given lovely hospitality by Bilal the restaurant manager as well as some gorgeous Persian Tea (photographed) which is a flavoursome Persian Tea With Bergamot undertones served over a candle. The decor is tasteful and the atmosphere quiet because when we went there was no music - only talking. Toilets are downstairs but you can get a wheelchair through the main door or sit on the street outside.

Have been to shiraz for 2nd time today. We were welcomed warmly by "BILAL" very nice staff member. As I knew what to order, the order was taken instantly, and food was delivered within 20 minutes 😋. Very tasty food loved it. I will definitely be coming back again. Desserts was lovely, too. And finally, Chi was very refreshing. Adding few pictures aswell. Thank-you
