A nice pub with a decent range of menu options, just across the road from Paisley Canal railway station, hence the name. It seems to cater more for functions, being a little bit out of the centre of Paisley. Several tables and a whole section were reserved when I came in for lunch, but there was plenty of room left.
My smoked salmon sourdough sandwich was nice, and the salad was very good, but I found the bread a little dry. Service was very quick. Prices were slightly steep for pub grub, but the quality more or less justified it.
There's ample parking out the back, with ramped access from that side.
Nice modern place lovely Decor attended Small Reception for nephew's son's Christening/ Buffet was first class nice mixture of food very enjoyable/ Service was also good yes lovely day all-round 👍👍
Lovely place to dine at with that special person or if you want a family outing with the kids, good atmosphere and lovely music to listen to! Good bands play here and a really good weekend night out.

We popped in here for some dinner and wasn't expecting it to be as lovely inside. It was a Sunday afternoon, there was a wee jazz band playing and the place was lovely. Not busy at all.
We had starter of soup of the day, which was just lovely. I could have eaten the whole pot.
I then had chilli beef with rice, again it was lovely, not very spicy though. My husband had steak pie which he also said he really enjoyed.
We finished off with Strawberries and meringue.. It was amazing...
The staff were absolutely lovely, we didn't wait long for food and I don't have any complaints. Would definitely be back again.. The soup and dessert alone would bring me back.

Really like it here! I know this sounds weird but also feels kinda Xmasy with all the lights etc :) but equally fab to sit outside in summer. Good cocktail menu, good prices, nice staff. Will continue to visit whenever I'm through in Paisley.
Had a wonderful evening in the function area celebrating my daughter's hen party. The staff were extremely helpful and set the room up for us arriving. The DJ played music that got us all up dancing and we had a fab night. Great atmosphere and would recommend for a small celebration.
All the staff are lovely and the restaurant is extremely clean, cakes are great, never had a bad meal. However, My one fault is the TEA. I just wish they would lose the twinings. And please, please put the tea bag into the pot of freshly boiled water instead of putting it on the saucer. It drives me crazy every time.....aaaggghhhh!!!!

Always a good experience. Ally is our waitress more often than not and she makes the evening an absolute pleasure. The food is great, we highly recommend the sharing starter with the fishcakes and brie etc.
