Good old fashioned tea room, staff lovely, friendly and dressed like war time ladies ... We had tea and scones ( afternoon tea) before we caught the steam train from Pickering in to Whitby which is just across the road from the station. Scones were lovely and fluffy served on a china cake plate with butter, clotted cream and jam, mouthwatering ! A pot of tea gave us both 3 cups each ... China tea cups, saucer , plate and an old fashioned tea pot. £3.95 per person for afternoon tea, well worth it. Service was very quick , I will return if I go back to the area in the future.

Great tea room right by the station in Pickering. Cakes and pastries very tempting but just need a snack so coffee and toast with marmalade. Before leaving bought some quiche and a cheese and onion pastry for lunch later, both were delicious. Defiantly be back next visit to Pickering.

Bothams is a must when visiting Pickering. Cakes are always fresh and tasty. On our visit we picked up French Fancys and Cornflake Cakes and wow they were so tasty.

We STRONGLY recommend these delicious cookies by Botham’s. The Pickering Botham’s tea room is lovely, just straight opposite the NYMR. We always supply Botham’s biscuits for our guests as part of their welcome pack to the holiday cottage, and I have to say… any of the ones with a tang of stem ginget are a win for me. Yum! Thanks guys.

Great scones, really lovely quaint atmosphere. A great place to sit and have a cup of tea and warm up or pick up treats for later. We got a great selection and the mince pies were exceptional.Their speciality chocolate treat was nice but a bit too sweet for us. A great place and we will definitely come back.

Don’t think about it, just go. It’s a wonderfully warm and welcoming place, the service is great without ever being intrusive and the food was stunning. The cakes are exceptional and they even manage to raise the humble sandwich to something special. Absolutely loved it!

Splendidliohs! With bells on. Lovely staff who bent over backwards to accommodate. Very helpful and friendly. Good range of drinks - and cakes! Reasonably priced food. There's some outdoor seating out the back. I had a ploughman's platter with Cheddar and Wensleydale. A good, filling plateful, colourful and tasty, by 'eck! Gunpowder Green Tea, yum. Homemade apple pie was, oh my goodness, outstandingly good! Best part of the meal. If you visit here you must try it, soooo nommmm yummy flippin good. I can still taste it now. I'd travel to Pickering just to have this apple pie again. Am I recommending this establishment...? Errrrr, big fat yesss.

This a 'little gem' of a place in Pickering. The staff are polite, helpful and always with a ready smile. A particular thanks to Susie, Mel and the professional bakers who created a beautiful celebration cake for a family member recently. Looked delightful and tasted divine! Thanks to everyone, front house and behind the scenes. An asset to Pickering Town !!
